Gawd the Bet365 did look empty. Official gate was 22K but was the stadium even half full? The main stand holds around 7,500. If they're were, say, 4,000 in there today (which would be just over half full and which you couldn't see see on TV highlights) that leaves another 18,000 in the stadium. Rotherham brought a reported 1,500 If you were there, then it's not hard to imagine another 16,500 Stoke fans in the rest of the stadium today. Well I wasn't there but I am struggling to imagine exactly that. If we accept your 4,000 in the Main Stand and 1,500 Rotherham in half the away stand then that's 5,500 people in 1.5 sides of the ground. We'd need to find another 16,500 people in the remaining 2.5 sides of the ground all of which the front half of which looked almost entirely empty. I can't see it.

All season tickets get counted in regardless of whether someone turns up or not. Lots of people are still on summer hols and concession and kids season tickets are now so cheap relative to pay on the day it makes sense to buy one even if you only plan to turn up for a small number of games.

The problem when you watch on TV is the more sparsely filled areas towards the front of the stands and around the ānew cornerā are the most visible.

They don't understand what football fans want. We don't need 6 minutes interviewing two 17 year old Plymouth players. Twenty seconds or so is enough of that
There's no need to dedicate twenty minutes to one team either i.e Plymouth today

ITV have always been wank when it comes to football. I mean, they kept Clive Tyldsley in gainful employment for many years ferfucksake. It's quite apt that ITV's coverage is currently fronted by a bloke called Poo Gash.

Yes but if a ground has a capacity of 32k and thereās a crowd of 22k thatās 10k missing seats. Thatās nearly a third of the ground if my limited maths is correct. Itās bound to ālookā empty with 60 odd % occupancy. Figure looks legit to me Sorry I e just realised weāre probably in agreement. I was getting muddled up with someone else

Jonathan, a positive for you being back out on the pitch? Yeah, good to get some minutes, get on with it, move on to the next one blah blah.
This is supposed to be a highlights show

Theyāve got this show all wrong. Massive focus on Plymouth, which is great if youāre a Plymouth fan - but it is pretty boring if youāre not. So it just switches off everyone who is apathetic about PAFC (most of the audience). Nothing against Plymouth of course.
They need to basically mix it up so thereās equal coverage of each team. Not over the season, every week.
I was begging for all the Plymouth shit to end, not just so I could watch stoke but so I could see goals and coverage of the other teams in the league.

At least it's not on for two hours anymore, that was hard to keep your eyes open by the time they got to the fag end of League 2.
Just show the goals, that's literally all you need

Really disappointed in the showā¦ how hard is it to understand we just want to see all the goals and the main incidents of each game, not ridiculous needless interviews!! Putting us on near the Start of the programme would be nice change as well

Does that include corporate? The family area may have had a few less. So basically 3,500 season ticket holders out 15000 plus did not make their seats wow they must have all been in the upper tier.

Because of the weather fans packed the middle to the back leaving the front pretty empty If you were watching on TV that would make it seem less of a crowd than it was There were 22000 people there, that's it

I think the gate is about right, from my view half way up the Boothen. Seats at the front were a bit sparse - but there was some precipitation so understandable. The insight from inside the stadium is quite different from tv/stream.

Agree with all the comments about Colin Murray: heās always been good value, whether on TV or radio, especially sports coverage. He left Talkshite under a cloud, I canāt remember what, something about denigrating Mr Murdoch? Anyway, heās wasted on Countingsheep.

I've only ever watched it twice, and both times we were the last Championship match shown. For our 5-1 drubbing of Sunderland, it genuinely looked like they'd forgotten to include the match and had had to hurriedly shoehorn it in at the last minute. It's dire.

My own surprise was that for a match with some great action and 5 goals, Stoke were almost traditionally on last in the Championship review. You wouldn't believe from the edit that we are an attractive team who are second only on goal difference.
