Always going to be an issue with their ground. Access, parking, Ethel putting her laundry out and Amazon delivery drivers blocking the road.

Instead of spending £10m-£15m on the ground only for it to be demolished in a few years if the ground isn't up to pl they should go and ground share at Watford or MK Dons

Big investment for something short term. You'd hope they've put provisions in place to relocate some of the new structures (camera gantry etc.) to their new stadium.

Also it would be a big anti climax for their fans to play their first season in the top flight for 30 odd years at their hated rivals Watford or souless Milton Keynes. Be like us getting to the Premier League in 2008 and playing at Vale Park or Molineux.

I really hope that they stay up, I can't see it but it would be a poke in the eye for some of the so called bigger teams, especially if they stayed up at the expense of one of them. They remind me of a Pulis Stoke team. Gouranga.

Instead of spending £10m-£15m on the ground only for it to be demolished in a few years if the ground isn't up to pl they should go and ground share at Watford or MK Dons Perhaps they want to play at their no frills ground to give them and their support 'an edge'. Like Wimbledon of old, it'll be a culture shock for the big boys. Moving to MK would lose that, and Luton and Watford hate each other so I'd be surprised if that was an option

I don’t want to be too disparaging but I built a better tree house in my back garden than that. But they’re Premier League and no one can take that away from them Lego stand or otherwise….

I don’t want to be too disparaging but I built a better tree house in my back garden than that. But they’re Premier League and no one can take that away from them Lego stand or otherwise…. Their plan appears to be a very sensible one. I think they're well aware that their promotion last season was a bit of a fluke where they took advantage of an unusually weak division where the usual favourites and parachute teams were all in transition or struggling for one reason or another. They know this is a once in a generation injection of money that can be used to finally sort out their new ground and get away from Kenilworth Road which is hanging around them like a millstone round their neck and will inevitably drag them back to the lower leagues at some point. Kenilworth Road is too small and can't generate the revenue levels necessary to survive in the top two divisions permanently. Eventually their parachute payments will run out and gravity will drag them back to League One with 9,000 crowds and hardly any corporate facilities. So rather than spending the money on players and probably still getting relegated anyway, it looks like they're banking the money and investing in the infrastructure to allow them to compete permanently at this level and potentially be in a position to get promoted again in the future with a much better chance of being competitive.

Moving to MK would lose that, and Luton and Watford hate each other so I'd be surprised if that was an option All true but if they really wanted to give themselves an edge they wouldn't be buying Championship players like they have They've clearly accepted relegation and decided to buy players who will give them a shout for 2024/25 back in the Championship whilst keeping vast majority of the pl money back for the new stadium Given that spending £10m+ on their existing League 2 ground is daft They could have spent £5m or less massively subsidising 20000 season tickets and free travel to MK for a year, building up their fan base for when get go to their new stadium back in Luton

What are the PL standards that they are failing on? Is it safety? Nothing else should matter.

Did Luton start last season needing almost a completely new squad from scratch? Our Summer transfers make Luton's look like a couple here and there to pep up the party.

They’ve earned their way in already.

I don't think it's safety, I believe it's because of the amount of equipment and space needed for Sky Sports broadcasts and other media agencies.

They managed well enough covering their games in the Championship. Mardarses 😂
