BBD will get a bigger club, would love him to come here one day to his home club. McBurnie I'd have and would be realistic, not a great player but alright

Thought BBD has signed a pre-contract agreement and passed a medical to get a 4yr. deal at Villareal in June!

Meite was hot a few seasons ago. More of a wide forward?

Lucas Joao goalscoring for Reading is not too bad.
41 goals in 110 appearances
29 years old and big bastard at 6ft 4

Do they not class Powell as a forward?

Think Joao and possibly Keane could do a decent job.
Suspect McBurnie is likely to end up at a parachute club.

I think we should be targeting younger, hungrier strikers with a point to prove and want to make a step up, most of those, by and large have peaked and are possibly on the way down. That said, we will probably sign Pukki now😯

Lucas Joao The majority of Reading's attacking play this season has come through Andy Carroll, leaving Lucas Joao on the sides in more sense than one.
Joao is arguably the best finisher at the club and has generally been underused this season by Ince. He has scored just six goals in 32 appearances - with only 15 of those as league starts - and has been starved of the service he usually thrives on.
The striker is a hugely talented player and has the ability to win games out of nothing so Reading and Hunt must do all they can to give him the platform to fire the club to safety.

Is Lyndon Dykes out of contract or final year?
I think he'd be ideal, presses well and 1 in 4 for a target man isn't too bad.
He'd be a massive upgrade on Gayle

Listening to Reading and Sheffield Wednesday fans talk about Joao and there are plenty of parallels to when we first signed Ricardo Fuller - niggling injuries, accusations of being too laid back / lazy, absolutely unstoppable on his day
Wasn't he linked with a move abroad last summer, followed by rumours of going to Everton in January?
Interesting to see where he ends up.

I'd take Ashley Barnes for a season, maybe two.... A decent robust forward, not afraid to put himself about!!!

Can't stand McBurnie, like I couldn't stand Pearson. Think he could be great in our line up and only 27 in the summer. Joao would also be a good addition I reckon. Can see Gayle going but no idea who would take him

I was thinking Barnes would still do us a job in the match when he played at the Bet365 for Burnley, very industrious & not afraid to get stuck in. But then the thought of being a Vokes Mk2 from Burnley is kind of stopping me from actually saying we should make a move! 🤔🫣

Just doing a little bit of research on him, Paul Ince hardly used him. Hes made 32 appearances this season with only 17 of them being from the bench

Joan sounds the best fit, but whether he would come here I'm not sure. BBD is a non starter. He will get better offers right now But could end up here on his way back down in years to come.

Think Barnes would be a decent shout in the championship though!!!

I wouldn’t touch any of them with a barge pole. He’s got the entire summer to recruit. We don’t need any out of contract mercenaries

Joao always seems to have a great game against us and our defence can’t handle him at all Came on as a sub in our home game against them looked fat and unfit did nothing. That's what you'd be signing not some memory from seasons gone by, that's how you end up signing Dwight fucking Gayle.

It’s the same principle though? Well there’s good players running their contract down because there’s interest then there’s players begging for a contract because they got nowhere to turn. Not really the same
