To be fair they have q new 2.5m forward to add to that team if he's clinical they have to have q chance they won't be getting rolled over very often A £2.5M forward is gonna score what, 10-15 goals? We even got 4-5M for Brown... Sure, he may click and get 25, but that's highly unlikely in such a defensive team. I think they'll be like Millwall. Hard to beat, but not really good enough for the playoffs. But probably higher than us, this season. Don’t disagree but that suggests we are miles off if we can’t live with them physically

Sometimes you can be too clever for your own good when it comes to recruitment. I said similar early on in the main transfer thread but can anyone honestly say we wouldn’t be a better side with Keane leading the line and not Wesley? (from what we’ve seen so far). I think we missed a trick not going for him, I hadn’t paid attention to the overall business Preston have done up until Saturday but I think they have a great chance of making the play offs….. I think if Keane was at Stoke, he’d have just stood there isolated wondering why he’s having to fight off two defenders and a midfielder while everyone else half-jogs towards him or stays routed to the touch line. I don’t think he’s just a target man though, he can make stuff happen for himself. He can play as a 10 or a 9.

They got away with nearly everything out there, and stuff we got booked for, they did 3-4-5 times before they got carded! It's easy to play physical football when only one team is allowed to by the so called ref! It should have ended 0-0. Not nearly good enough, but they didn't exactly batter us, did they? They played with 9-10 men behind the ball the entire game (bar 3 minutes), and got really lucky with Holmes' scuba-impressionist dance.

Sitting near to the dugouts we could see AN constantly shouting to leris to stay wide throughout the first half everytime he dared venture in field

The game was wide open until the ref decided he wanted to be the centre of attention. They looked kinda comfortable after they went 2 up, but only because we only tried crosses into their back three and the four in front of them. It was the most defensive setup I've ever seen. They defended for their lives, and with a bit more skill (looking at you Campbell) or luck we'd have at least one goal.

Yannick Bolasie, it seems only 5 minutes ago he was the new Wilf Zaha, only better.

Really surprised that fosu is still a free agent unless he’s got an injury. Good age and actually thought he played well when he went on the wing and not wingback

As much as I think our business has been by and large excellent, still see us struggling to see where 15+ goals a season man is coming from?.

Could it not be Vidigal? so far you would have to say yes , but then again the goals could dry up for him , with most the new signings we will just have to wait and see

I think Mmaee has the potential to score 15 after the league Cup finish he put away. It was only a half chance really.
If he can be provided with 30 chances throughout the season I fancy him to finish them.
(15 of them)

I don't really get how these free agent things work. If a player comes to a mutual agreement with their club to cancel their contract can they just sign for anyone they want to who wants them outside of any transfer window. If that's the case as it is best as I understand it I'm very surprised we don't see a hell of a lot more of it. Surely there must be more to it?

I think if they (a player) were contracted to a club when the transfer-window closed they cannot join another club until the next transfer-window opens even if their contact was cancelled/mutually cancelled (after the transfer-window closed). I hope that makes sense.

He had a few good games on the wing and was a bit unlucky to get immediately phased out. Josh Onomah is equally odd - surely a fair number of Championship teams would take him for a reasonable wage.
