I'd imagine it will be things like:- - Updating the toilets in the Boothen (didn't they do the Tile Mountain last summer) - Renovation of executive/sky boxes - Renovation of Waddington Suite All things that would make those areas unusable for a boxing match. The hospitality areas will be key to hosting such an event. Can anybody answer this question. Why did they build the main stand, so far away from the pitch. Because it’s higher

Would require digging out the bank, could be done Assume would be expensive? But where would the pathway go? I suppose it could be a wide set of steps running perpendicular to the current path. Tricky problem though.

They could easily afford to build a good stadium. Doesn't matter what they do with the bet365 stadium or whatever it's called now, it'll always be a boring soulless Identikit stadium built to lower spec than all the other stadiums

They would have to cut into the landscape and re route the current pathway. It is definitely do-able if you look on Google Maps and you would end up with a similar space to what is at the back of the new corner. It would probably pour water on my theory that it could all be done in a single summer though. There have been a couple of throw away lines in the SC minutes this season that have made me think they might be doing something around there sooner rather than later - the refusal to paint the new grey wall behind the new corner and the 'monitoring' of the subsidence on the current pathway at the back of the Tile Mountain stand. UTILISATION OF THE GREY WALLThe Club said they are mindful of avoiding any murals or decorative work on the wall at it is a supporting, structural wall that may well be altered or removed in the near future.Could be something, could be nothing. Rail Seating a great shout btw. Re-route the pathway where though? This is the main artery that takes people from the stadium to where the busses pick up, the queues along there can be absolutely huge after the match as it is. I'd guess it would be something like this. Yellow line is the extended concourse (in line with the new corner concourse), red line is the new outside space boundary cut into the existing landscape and the blue line is the new path, going roughly to where the existing path is and utilising the dead path at the top of the bank. All dependent on where the clubs land starts and ends. Ultimately, i'm not a civil engineer and and just putting two and two together over what might or might not be happening over the summer. Best wait for what the club tell us I suppose?

Wrap it in luminous ETFE foil air panels like the Allianz in Munich. I’ve no idea what this is but it sounds shexxy. Are they fire proof though?

Could do with a massive ‘Stoke City FC’ sign behind the Boothen end towering over the A500

Car park management - so many spaces all over in front of the main stands - some cars on there just seem to park anywhere - see Landrover “Danny” parks where the fucking hell he likes - who is he?

Fair do's mate, that makes sense, although I think the new (blue) path would have to ultimately end at roughly the same place as the current one does, or else you'd have absolute carnage by the busses, as people would be arriving at the front of the queue, rather than at the back of it.

I was having a look around the ground before the game on Saturday and was thinking about a fanzone area.
The only space really is opposite Ricardos but you could get quite a bit out there I reckon and almost make it like a beer garden for the bar itself.
It's currently used to park a few cars there but other than that looks dead land. There's a hedge seperating it from the current path and then a bit of a grass bank towards the path up to Blurton.
But if you flattened that, fenced it off from the path and had the main opening opposite the bar then it would be an area that if you fitted it with heaters, an outdoor bar and some cover would add capacity to the bar and would I think be well used.

I’ve always thought of things they could do: -New fan zone -Expanding concourse size -Relocated ticket office -Tunnel corner redevelopment with hotel/offices/museum development -Central players tunnel added following digging under the main stand -Improved fan access (bridges/subways added to the main roundabout) -New slip road onto A50 - Better car/bus management -Offsite/nearby “community stadium” for academy & women’s games Definitely need some kind of museum, despite a serious lack of honours for a club of our history & stature, we're a club steeped in rich history with a plethora of top players who have worn our red & white shirt. There's plenty of artifacts & display pieces that could make a museum a place for us celebrate our past and worthy of visiting. Would be good if fans could donate/loan pieces of retro merchandise to display. I've got a fair bit of old bits & pieces that would look better mounted in frames in a club museum than packed away in a drawer.. Been trying for years to get some of my grandad's memorabilia displayed at the ground.Took it down once but never heard anything back, got some great stuff that I think people should be able to see including old contracts, photos, programmes and an England Cap,all from 1937 onwards. Hanley Museum and The National Football Museum weren't interested. Unfortunately there is some stuff from his time at The Vale.

It wouldn't be anything special but it sounds like from reading comments on here and Twitter that Ricardos is popular so it would play on that too. Easy access for any outside caterers too. And if it's a big success you can make it bigger.

I was scratching my head aswell. Although the horseshoe shape gives me excellent memories of my visit to the Vicente' Calderón. Just missing an extra screen with enormous Coca-Cola advertisement. The Calderon was a fantastic stadium, saw Barca win the title there a few years ago. Managed by chance to get into the mad end, what a fantastic atmosphere, I’m sure the concrete stands were shaking. Remember the signs at that end, no smoking, no standing, no sexist language, all totally ignored, a real primeval experience. All the fans were united in applause for Barca and especially Messi, who scored the only goal, at the end and all mixed and drank again after the game before going home. That’s how it should be, passion for your club but respectful to the opposition fans, we’re mostly all football lovers.

There's literally no room for it behind the Sentinel stand, and if you stuck it behind the Boothen or Main stand you'd be losing some of the already limited parking spaces. Ricardo's being where it is already gives people a reason to be in that area of the ground, so adding the fanzone there aswell makes sense.

Athletico Madrid have a large anti social element amongst them and the reason they were applauding Messi and Barcelona was probably because it fucked Real Madrid over….They are no angels Anyway back on track 👍

My son who was with me speaks Spanish and felt and heard the same, we were welcomed and were part of it all. No doubt it would have been very different if they had been in for a shot of the title! It is nice to look at the rosy side of life sometimes, there’s little of it about at the moment. The atmosphere brought back memories of the Vic for the big games, jumping for a goal and landing a few steps lower, always kept away from the rails.

We were saying this about the small car-parking area opposite the entrance to Ricardos, in a discussion while waiting for Ricardos to open on Saturday. It seems to be the logical place, & has been said, in affect, an expansion of Ricardos.

Major upgrades would be a tram/rail track to the ground not titivating the ticket office or concourses!

Major upgrades would be a tram/rail track to the ground not titivating the ticket office or concourses! They're never going to put a rail line or tram to the stadium, it simply wouldn't be used sufficiently to make it anything like cost effective.
