I'd imagine it will be things like:-
- Updating the toilets in the Boothen (didn't they do the Tile Mountain last summer) - Renovation of executive/sky boxes - Renovation of Waddington Suite
All things that would make those areas unusable for a boxing match. The hospitality areas will be key to hosting such an event.

What possible demand do you think there would be for a hotel given there is one nearby, occupancy in the city isn’t great and the current hotels hardly make money? And what demand would there be for offices with no facilities nearby? Asylum seekers? Always looking to expand the fanbase.

Always looking to expand the fanbase. Could set up a coaching/scouting facility aswell, got to be some untapped footy talent amongst their masses! 😉🤣

Hopefully they are knocking the south stand corner down Is that where the changing rooms are?

Hopefully they are knocking the south stand corner down Is that where the changing rooms are? I think he means that when we have a new stadium, or in the last case a new corner of the stadium, we get relegated. Knocking a portion of it down should see us promoted with ease.

Whilst a museum is a nice idea I don't think it's viable. Once the fans that want to visit have visited, who does it attract? Away fans on matchdays, people visiting the ground for tickets etc, commercial partners, whatever. We're not talking the Louvre, just a nicely-lit room or two with some memorabilia that adds an extra element to the experience of going to the ground. Nice idea I think. Sounds like scfcrmagic can kick us off with some stuff!

I'm not ITK at all but my guess would be extending the size of the concourses in the Boothen End and the Tile Mountain stand - to match the size of the concourses of the new corner. Regulations on sizes of them changed between the new stadium being built and the new corner and I reckon they will use this summer to do that. It would make sense in one way as it's the type of project you could get done in a summer. I think it would be virtually impossible to expand the Tile Mountain concourse. What would you expand it into? The space outside is small enough as it is and when we were in the Prem it was regularly full to bursting with people queuing before kick-off. The only possible thing I think they could do, would be to possibly move the food and drink outlets to the outside, so they still serve you inside (the bars would be where the current outside wall is) but the majority of the kiosk would sit outside the main building. Having said that, this would still eat up a significant amount of precious space outside, particularly if we have designs on getting back into the Prem.

Would there be any mileage in putting in rail seating/standing in the new corner?

I believe that with rail seating, you need to offer to both sets of fans.
I'd like to see them install rail seating across the top (above exits) section of the South Stand. This would protect the view of those in the disabled bays and provide away fans with the choice of seats or standing. This would also create a standing area, where Stoke fans already stand - therefore unlikely to upset any existing ST holders in that area.
I think the club also see the new corner as more of a 'family stand' extension, so unlikely to want rail seating in there.

It's amazing on a matchday the amount of away fans you see having a wander around the stadium in their club colours and having a genuine interest in other clubs stadium. They often take pictures of themselves outside the main stand and a fair few head round to the Matthews Statue as I'm sure they do the Banks Statue. Seen quite a few away fans in the club shop pre match aswell having a gander. I recall Delilahs bar used to have framed matchworn shirts people had donated in to the club on display. Hopefully they're in safe storage somewhere still following the redevelopment. I've got some 80's genuine Matchworn shirts and authentic replicas I'd love to loan the club to display somewhere.

It is definitely do-able if you look on Google Maps and you would end up with a similar space to what is at the back of the new corner. It would probably pour water on my theory that it could all be done in a single summer though. There have been a couple of throw away lines in the SC minutes this season that have made me think they might be doing something around there sooner rather than later - the refusal to paint the new grey wall behind the new corner and the 'monitoring' of the subsidence on the current pathway at the back of the Tile Mountain stand. UTILISATION OF THE GREY WALLThe Club said they are mindful of avoiding any murals or decorative work on the wall at it is a supporting, structural wall that may well be altered or removed in the near future.Could be something, could be nothing. Rail Seating a great shout btw.

I walked around by the new corner for the first time ever before the Norwich game and saw they have a food outlet that points outside there. Not sure why you couldn’t do that all the way down if you made the path bigger.

I think the subsidence on the path by Gordon’s statue needs sorting and provides an opportunity to do something with that side of the ground.
There’s not a lot of room there because of the proximity of the road, but with a bit of imagination (and money) the concourses could be extended and the path redirected.
I wish the club would make an even bigger statement about the women’s team. I don’t believe there are the same sort of financial restrictions as we face in the men’s game. We could finance one of the country’s top teams. In this case, I would build a base for the admin, etc for the women’s team in the Boothen corner which could incorporate office space for a local business or two.
Finally, there is still some room left on Trentham Lakes to build an ancillary stadium for use by u21, academy, women’s team. This would be like the campus that Man City have.

We are thinking on the same lines there Bayern. I’m still bitter about that (for no good reasons really either 😂 ). But it would very much make sense if they want to make a going concern of the women’s team. Having a smaller stadium there would make far more sense than the current set up.

I think a far more realistic solution would be to install some sort of canopy over the path behind the Tile Mountain stand. Like a huge smoking shelter type construction. This could be fenced/gated off at each end once the game is being played to allow people to use both inside and outside (covered) space. Even incorporate it in to a fan zone type thing.
