Seems to be a togetherness there with the lads. As though they are all getting on with each other which is good to see.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-live-coventry-team-8311235"The simple fact is you are looking for confidence. You're looking for confidence in me as a manager and the people at the top end of the club. They want to know we have a plan and we're going to see it through. "We've got everything in place that we need. Everything is here at this club and I'm really really confident about where we're going to go next. Bear in mind that I said that when we weren't getting great results. My position on that hasn't changed.

Powell at least on the bench by the sounds of it, can’t see him starting despite being in training for 2 weeks, so if Gayle isn’t fit it will have to be Brown up top again. Hopefully Gayle is back and we can go back to Brown and Campbell either side of Gayle.
If not would it have to be Hoever on the wing again? Unless he plays Tymon on the left and switches Campbell to the right. Or even Smallbone to the right and bring in Baker?

The less tinkering the better, same as v Norwich if Gayle is out, keep Powell as far away as possible ( that'll stir some )

2.00pm: Powell is announced to lead the line. 3:02pm: Powell is substituted following his second 50-50 header challenge 😂

Powell on the bench would be a massive bonus and to think otherwise is blinkered.

Why do I think we never do well after international breaks?
Can see a meek 2-0 defeat.

Very tricky game today, they’ve not lost in 9 games and we haven’t won there since 2008 and by all accounts they are our bogey team. I reckon 1-1 and we’ll score from a free kick is what I’m saying, due to us having a better shout away from home I reckon, it’s a big crowd and they’ll be under more pressure. Get the first goal sit on it and counter and we might just pinch all 3 points but I wouldn’t be disappointed with a point here as they are chasing for play offs and they are a decent side by all accounts even with that O’Hare missing.
Come on stoke!

Can we have John Rudge back as a guest advisor for the match?

Hope I am not tempting fate but really fancy us today even though Coventry seem to be a decent side. After recent results and performances our confidence should be sky high, would settle for a point but a win is not beyond us.
Safe journey fellow Stokies.
As always...GGGOOAAARRRNNN STOKE.

Come on stoke! Good summary. Like Blues, they always seem to get a result against us no matter how shit they are or how well we're doing. However, football is a funny old thing. They're unbeaten in about ten games so must be due a defeat, we haven't won there since the promotion season, we haven't beaten them since they got promoted themselves...unless I've just jinxed it the footballing gods say 2-1 Stoke.

Agreed! What a statement it would be by the side and Neil thought if we beat these and Brum, both away from home and two bogey sides. For me anyway that would be a huge statement of the intent for next season too

No Tuanzebe off the coach. Injured again or travelling separately?

I’m not confident of what impact Powell might have in this side given his time out. That’s if he even plays.

I have a sneaky feeling Sarkic may start today and possibly Tymon at left back to try and get Celina involved..
