What a fantastic day out! Great support from start to finish, a full 90 minute performance of no little quality, skill and entertainment and a feeling of a real connection between the players and the fans again. Great stuff.
Would've been a travesty to go in at half time just one up, and the Stokies singing "It should've been ten" at the end were only mildly exaggerating.
Funny how often a run of bad results against a side ends with a good thumping. Let's hope for a similar outcome vs Blues, who are also due one.

Coventry have a great home record! And their Viktor Gyökeres considered the best player in the league by some experts. How many red cards did they get?
The game wasn't on any channel here.

Compare that performance today to Coventry away last season
Unbelievable & it should easily have been 6

None, but they're a physical side, that's for sure, not afraid to put it about. Think they picked up three yellows and could easily have been double that number. Gyokeres is a handful. You can see why he gets as many goals as he does. Not dissimilar to Mitrovic imo in his level if not style of play, too good for the Championship, probably a good midtable PL side signing.

That was simply outstanding from first to last. A bona fide 10/10 performance against a good side in this league.
Had we walked away having scored 7 or 8 it genuinely wouldn't have flattered us.

Superb performance, Covo were blown away. We're looking very good currently and we have to be super proud of them.

I know it’s very unlikely, but can you imagine Stoke making the last 6th place in playoffs and the form team? What a dream that would be and what an end to the season - at least there is a good run in to look forward to then a tweaking of the team in pre-season - thank you John Coates for getting the right manager in the end, but let’s keep him.

A physically imposing striker, no doubt about it, but not really sharp/adroit enough, I doubt that he would impress much in the Premier.

Ok, I haven't seen him that much and so far not many chances in our national team up here.

We should be able to invoice Coventry - for cleaning their clock. They're fortunate we didn't score 7 or 8. Hey Bonham - take a bow man!

Just seen that back in 2007/8, April, we were away at Coventry followed by Bristol at home........its not on is it? or is it? That little bit too far back I think, been a brilliant response since Millwall though, a pleasure to watch again.

I've not read that link, but I assume they think we own all our players if they consider us a good bet for next season. They'd be right, if we are able to keep that side together, which appears a bit of a stretch, given that our three best players on Saturday were all loanees. Hopefully, Neil can replace Pearson, Smallbone, Hoever et al with similar quality but that's a big task for him, and the Board.
