Just seen a picture of Steve Guppy and thought he'd played for us briefly at some point. Then I started to doubt myself and was wondering if I'd imagined it or dreamt it at some point. So I had to look it up and sure enough he played four games for us in 2004. I can't remember anything of those games.
Who else would you put in a Did He Really Play For Us XI?

I reckon I could name an XI and a full subs’ bench just in the squads since we came down. Or rather, I probably couldn’t name them…

Totally forgot about Riggott. Which season was that? I remember Fortune and Craddock on loan although Craddock maybe only played once? Honourable mention for Henri Camara...

Burton scored one of the most important goals in our recent history. Without his goal in the 1st leg of the Cardiff play-off I doubt we'd have got promoted that season and who knows how much longer we'd have been stuck down there.

Yeah I’m not having Deon Burton, he was a pretty important player that season. A lot more than certain others

Shola is a good shout. Was it Pearson the ginger lad who signed at the same time? Yeah - both of those deals were epic fails - and very pricey. But all's well that ends well! PEARSON DEAL TO BOOST WAR CHEST March 29th Stephen Pearson's move to Stoke City could eventually net Derby County £2.5m. The Scottish international's on-off loan deal was finally completed yesterday morning after a confusing delay. Derby will receive a loan fee of around £500,000 and any permanent transfer would cost Stoke a further £1.5m plus add ons. Such a deal would give Derby a hefty profit on Pearson, who arrived from Celtic for £750,000 14 months ago. The decision to allow the 25-year-old to go out on loan is another clear indication of Paul Jewell's intention to shake up the Rams squad this summer for a serious challenge on the Championship. "Any money we can save now will go towards helping us come straight back up. It's not going to be hidden away to pay bills, it's going to be used as a springboard to try to get back into the Premier League," Jewell said. "I gave Stephen the option. I asked him about the move and he wanted to speak to Stoke. It's a good move for Stephen and it's a very good move for us financially. "There's a transfer fee agreed between the two clubs. If they take him, it's going to rise up to £2.5m. "Even if Stephen comes back, which he could well do, we have quite a considerable amount of money with the loan fee and the wages we will have saved on him. That money will go back in to strengthening our squad next season. "The deal is almost a no-loser for us. If we had any chance of staying up, Stephen Pearson wouldn't have gone out on loan."

According to Wiki Robert Garrett played twice for us in 05/06, bagging 49 goals. Typical Stoke, we let him go to Linfield for nowt after a very successful loan at Wrexham where he bagged 260 goals in 22 games. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Garrett_(footballer)Joke of a club
