Apologies if this has been covered but wtf happened? He looked to be out cold, concerned players around him waving on the medics… the first replay made my blood run cold, brought back memories of Eriksen. Stretcher hurried on.. then next thing we know he’s up on his feet screaming to be let back on the pitch 🤔
Seemed really strange, if he was knocked out don’t they do more of a check over before letting them on the field, if at all? Or did it just look a lot worse than it was

Looked like he landed on his head funny and was out for the count. But then recovered amazingly and was arguing to stay on.

Out cold for a few seconds but was playing really well and didn't want to come off which is great to see, his fitness level seems to have improved lately and his confidence is obviously returning. The right decision to take him off under the circumstances. Gouranga.

It was quite bizarre. After seeing the replay & reaction of the staff I thought it was something really bad. Then within a minute Tyrese is going crazy trying to get back in the pitch.
Thankfully we took him off though, as you can never be too safe with these kind of things & the health and well-being is the most important thing.
Fingers crossed he’s fine and can play at the weekend, as we are more of a threat with him than without.

Concussion just isn’t treated seriously in football is it?
Players generally want to carry on.
Medical teams seem to pander to the players.
And there’s no neutral medic to judge it.
It’s not good.

Any indication that he lost consciousness and don’t they have to miss a week?

Really didn’t look good when it cut to the shot of him clearly out of it on the floor.
Looked even worse on the replay where I thought he’d done his neck when it whipped back.
It then somehow got even worse by letting him play on, he should have been off no questions asked and the physio should have been screaming at him to say you were absolutely poleaxed Tyrese you’re fucking coming off.

Any indication that he lost consciousness and don’t they have to miss a week? Not sure what the protocol is, but it did look like he’d been knocked out temporarily. The way he landed & the way his arms were, it looked nasty. So yeah, looks to be a doubt for the weekend if that’s the rule.

Concussion protocoll wish it was in football like the Rugby league. If he does have it glad we've taken him off for his own good amd shouldn't play next week of he is showing signs.
Needs to be taken seriously in football.

If he’s gone of for concussion that’s him out of the next three games

Head injuries are funny. It’s quite possible that he didn’t realize that he was out cold. That would also explain his agitation after.
It looked like he was. If the physio suspected he was, it was negligent to allow him back on the pitch. If he’d have challenged for something and got hit again, he could have been in real trouble.

Way past time for football to bring in HIA replacements like they do in rugby.

Neil just explained in his interview that he thought it was worse than it turned out to be but he said it’s better to be safe than sorry in taking him off. He got booked as well in the aftermath

Was really shitting it for him when he first went down, it seemed to be really bad. Was a massive relief when he got back up but why the hell he was allowed to continue I'll never know. In the end we did the right thing and took him off but he shouldn't have gone back on in the first place. Yes it was nice to see the commitment from him and the will to carry on but your health comes before football Tyrese.

If he’s gone of for concussion that’s him out of the next three games He definitely will be. Hopefully he’s ok. Hopefully Celina will be fit as we don’t want to go back to a back 3.

Or did it just look a lot worse than it was My thoughts have always been, if you suffer a head injury you stay off of the pitch for at least 10 minutes whilst checks are carried out. A temporary sub could be used. Not only is it safer for the injured player, but it will make cheats think twice before feigning head injuries.

If it wasn't concussion what was it? Probably play acting Didn't look like that. It's up to medical staff to make the decision. In world cup there was the keeper, Saudi he played for I think, and he was in a really bad way. Let him carry out and soon got subbed off.
