We’ll make harder work of it than we should but we’ll be absolutely fine……

We’ll make harder work of it than we should but we’ll be absolutely fine…… You really think that if we keep playing with that starting 11, we will get enough points to be 'absolutely fine'? After we lost to a team that hadn't won since October in the league and we are 6 points from bottom?

I’m really not confident at all.
We could very feasibly collect zero points from the next six games.

No more than that…… I wish I had your positivity I look at those fixtures and think ‘shit’ there’s some tough ones there. What’s so annoying is like you said on another thread if we had won today it would have put it to bed.

I don’t see any of the teams below us finishing above us.

I don’t see any of the teams below us finishing above us. If we keep playing like today (ineffective, no cutting edge) and players don't come back fit, it will get very tight for us to stay up!

We would have been under the last manager and we still will be now…… I’m not sure but I admire your confidence This is going to be a struggle now. We could very easily drop through the trap door as all those below us will fight with new gaffers in charge. Warnock keeping Huddersfield up will be his swan song, Mcarthy will make Blackpool work and eek out results and Wigan and Rotherham have been here before and know the game and how to survive. I just can’t believe it’s come to this. But I don’t know why because we’re Stoke and it’s what we do.

I don’t see any of the teams below us finishing above us. As we can't play Blackpool every week then in that you are correct.

Those next six games look like a serious slog and I think we’re going to get dragged into a proper scrap. It’s worrying, to say the least.

We're done unless we sack the manager but even then he's done untold damage and every chance its not recoverable today is a seismic defeat

We’ll win some that we don’t expect to. We’ll lose some that we don’t expect to. We’ll stay up.

We may get relegated, but with an attitude like yours it is like you are positively wishing it to be so.

We'll be fine.
We battered Blackpool in to next week today but somehow contrived to lose.
If we continue to play like this we will pick up more than enough points.
NB I'm not saying we are good, we're not, we are bang average for this division, but we're not going down. We've left way too many points on the table this season.

You forgot to say our xG today was 8.335 so we actually won 8-1 and put another x3 points in the xbag. So in the expected league we are pushing for a play off xplace. Meanwhile in the real world we got nowt today.

I have the feeling of impending doom I had when Lambert was in charge. Not convinced with those fixtures we have enough to avoid the drop? Either way, it will be very tight, assuming we don’t have an apocalyptic “down tools” moment from the players. Question is would we know if they did😂

So much depends on Pearson, Powell and the new CB playing the majority of those games. I’d only say Boro and Watford you can write off. The Championship is so mediocre any of the other games could go either way depending on whether we turn up or not.
