Gets 4 out of 10 most games he plays. So wether it's formation or not it's telling us something about his contribution...or lack of it. Real shame

Shit against two sides in the bottom three.
That should be the death knoll for him but we all know it won’t be.

Said the day we signed him it would quickly turn into another Vokes situation. We just don't learn.

£20,000 a week for another 12 months isn't it? The kind of deal that explains why we're such a fucking shambles. Whats mad is the pure amount on here that still wanted him even this year. Would've been a real asset the year we came down, very blatantly finished now though and one goal in off the arse doesnt change that.

Why not give Tezgal & Lowe a run for the rest of the season?
Who knows, they could save us a fortune in the summer transfer window.

Professional footballer on a million quid a year.
Atrocious...

The signing of Dwight Gayle is a literal sign of just how far behind the times we are as a club.
Do we have a single attacking player who can strike a ball properly?

In a past era with his goal scoring record, he would have had a spell in the 'Stiffs' or Reserves - sadly not available today. Giving opportunities to untried Reserves - Ritchie, Crooks, Painter etc with success. I recall the opening game of the season at Highbury in the early 80's and sitting close to the Press box, two youngsters were giving the Arsenal defence a torrid time, and a member of the Press leaned over to ask who they actually were. It was Chapman & Heath. Stoke won 1-0 thanks to a Chapman goal. After the millions of £s Mr Coates has invested in the academy its time to give our brightest and most talented youngsters a REAL opportunity and not just a few minutes cameo appearance. I'm sure the Stoke crowd would get behind them.

It's depressing to think we've got to pay him £20k-a-week for the next 18 months, and no chance of anyone coming in for him I'd love to know who pushed for his signing at those numbers with our FFP situation. I think the majority of us thought he'd come in and score 15+ goals a season. I certainly did. He's had some good games but even then he hasn't looked like scoring, I don't know if it's him or just the club being cursed.

And when he had played in that he’s looked like the sack of shit we’ve witnessed. Cursed. He just shit

Even when he hasn’t looked like scoring I’ve still appreciated his work ethic and think he’s done good things build up wise.
Today more than anything has just cemented what a shit signing he’s been though, he just wasn’t what we needed at all.
All of our strikers are dogshit though. Campbell and Brown have spent several seasons together now and have got fuck all understanding of how to play with each other.
All of them would benefit with a target man, which we haven’t inexplicably haven’t signed.

My guess is his 2 year contract will actually contain a clause where both parties can go their separate ways in the summer.
Here’s hoping…..

I wanted Tezgel playing for us a good month ago and someone on here said it's not fair to throw him in, he might not be ready etc. He needs to play now, the lad is good enough and ready enough to me and I guarantee he will put chances away that our so called strikers are missing week after week now. Same goes for Lowe. Give them both a chance, they are both hungry and to be honest I'm sick of watching the shit we have up front now. Said the same thing got told I didn’t know what I was talking about . There’s a lot of experts on here , and some with common sense . Struggling up front I’m afraid it’s plain to see .

Ritchie Barker, took over things were looking a bit dodgy, but Inchy and Chapman ran the Gunners torrid. Couple of good results, but it all turned to **** after We beat Cov at home four nil... Remember big Bren and Paul Maguire goals getting us out of the merde towards the end of the season. I got myself a job in a Hotel on the Costa Brava, working throughout España 82!! Couple of the guests were Len Shackleton and Sunderland club Doctor, Harry Seed and their families.... Jeez happy days...😜

We can't keep playing with one player less game after game! He is finished, it's just as simple as that! I've hardly seen a striker able to miss chances like he does, and he was once a guarantee for goals!!! How the mighty have fallen! Time to retire!?

It could be a 2 year contract to spread out his wages with a clause after 12 months to say that the club and player could then go their separate ways with some kind of payment no doubt involved. I believe Man Utd do something similar when they offer 5 year deals where there is some kind of clause that players can leave after 4 if it's mutually beneficial. I'm clutching at straws probably.......

Lowe offered more in four minutes today in terms of presence ,and we hardly had the ball, why Neil thinks Gayle has anything to offer is beyond me now. Also whilst we can't put lots of pressure on Lowe or Tezegel at least they look bright and have a bit of confidence, tough run of games coming now for a team so poor in the final third.

For his own sake, he needs dropping for good. Without fear of contradiction, I can’t think of two consecutive performances from a striker playing for stoke as bad as them two.
And I’m old enough to remember Kieth Scott and Vincent pericard 😉
Whatever he’s done or been is irrelevant, he’s pure gash now !
