If you look at the run of games they have had recently they have beaten the teams also struggling. So it’s not like they are beating teams who are bang in form. I’m hoping our new signings will benefit from another full weeks training and our crowd get behind them like the Reading game. Their away form is really good over the last 8 game. W5, D2, L1. The one loss was at Sheffield United. That fact that they are beating the struggling teams is bad news for us….

Yeah I don’t know if the quoted post was meant to be reassuring, it seemed to have that tone but it just made me even more worried.

Not only are we behind Birmingham, with foreign owners who are absent from the wheel. We're now 7 points behind play off chasing Hull, who are owned by the Turkish version of Simon Cowell. I wonder if John Boy ever wonders where it all went wrong? Add Reading to the list who’ve been under a transfer embargo for over a year and have Paul Ince as manager. It is quite baffling how poorly we are doing in this league and being outperformed by the above clubs and others with poor investment and bang average managers should be an embarrassment to Coates and how he has guided SCFC since the sacking of Hughes. Poor choices of managers and awful player recruitment has been a consistent theme. If we avoid relegation, the summer is the ideal time for a shake up and restructuring in the board room and manager/coaches before we throw another 20m at player recruitment and make no progress.

I'd risk Tezgal, can't be any worse than our other strikers.

Another club that looked in absolute disarray turned around after a managerial change. Only 2 losses in 12, and are now looking up to the play-off hunt. Not only are we behind Birmingham, with foreign owners who are absent from the wheel. We're now 7 points behind play off chasing Hull, who are owned by the Turkish version of Simon Cowell. I wonder if John Boy ever wonders where it all went wrong? "The left-wing economic establishment"

I'd risk Tezgal, can't be any worse than our other strikers. He could be worse! He is playing and scoring in boys football a premature elevation to leading the first team attack, with all the pressure of expectation, could be disastrous for him. Hopefully the management team will take a more considered view than we might as well chuck him in.

I must say I’m surprised at how well Liam Rosenior is doing at Hull after his short spell at Derby as manager I've only just realised he's not Leroy Rosenior, thought he'd aged well!

Marcus Rashford wasn't even a regular in the Man Utd u-21's when he was chucked in at the deep end because of injuries, if he hadn't have been given that chance the course of history may have been very different. Sometimes youngsters just need to be in the right place at the right time with a bit of luck to kickstart their senior career, Tezgel certainly seems to have the mentality for it from what little I've seen of him...............

Sarkic Sterling Wilmot Jagielka Fox Laurent Pearson Baker Campbell Brown Celina Subs: Bonham, Macari, Okagbue, Thompson, Smallbone, Gayle, Tezgel, It surely has to be this team, I can’t see any other system that’s viable now that Tymon is out. I think AN will start Dwight instead of Brown though. Really hoping Pearson is fit and that Baker plays a more advanced role. If Dwight starts, hopefully he can play that false 9/pseudo target man role to bring Campbell and Celina more into the game. We absolutely need a Reading performance here though, 100%.

We played wingbacks v Reading I didn’t mean play the same system, I meant we need the same level of intensity and desire as we played against Reading. If we go wing backs against Hull without Tymon, then AN needs professional help.

Bookies got us as clear favourites, offering 14/5 for Hull to win and we're as good as evens. Reckon the Hull fans will be lumping on at them odds.

He put him on against Reading when we were winning 4-0, that’s the right way to do it imo, no pressure, enjoy the moment, no risk in making a mistake and gaining experience. Not start him in a potential 6 pointer to be booed if he is the cause of the opposition first goal.

Hence, why we’re only opening two stands against a Premier League team. Too many times this club has hung there hat on a youngster ( most recently Delap) and rarely it does more good than harm. The likes of Gayle should be hitting the net, not some prospect from the U21’s, if they do great, that’s a bonus.

Where’s the pressure on a young lad full of confidence when you’re 1-0 down at Luton with 15 mins left and chasing the game? He has a chance to be a hero…..

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-live-hull-neil-8132870How are Connor Taylor and the other injured players?Neil: He's making good progress. He's still probably over a week away at least. Axel has been training every day since he's come in so he's making good progress. He's been doing every session. Ben Pearson joined in part of the session yesterday, Sam Clucas joined in part of the session yesterday, Nick Powell joined in part of the session yesterday. On that front we're making good progress in terms of we're not far away from getting players back.

The rest sound a week+ away.

From the reading of that, it looks like they're further behind Tuanzabe, but I'm guessing/hoping that's not the case!
