He's not just a massive cunt (and I mean this as a compliment), he's a bloody good footballer too and that gets overlooked with his cuntishness.
And when was the last time we had a midfielder that could tackle?

Doesn't appear to be cup tied which is a bonus

Doesn't appear to be cup tied which is a bonus I noticed this the only one who is, is the Keeper which is a shame but at least we have a few Leo players available to play

he’s one of them who’ll bring back a bit of atmosphere into the stadium….blood, sweat and thunder and we love that. I’m looking forward to him cracking that first horrible tackle that gets everyone out of their seats. You hear a tangible lift in the feeling around the place when you have someone who bullies the shit out of the opposition in the same way we would if we played out on the pitch

Brilliant signing. Hopefully theres a perm deal to be made and that the loan was just to get it over the line

It’s a tremendous signing, exactly what we need.
Very weird window and we don’t appear to have addressed the primary issues we had going into it other than the keeper, but think we be brought in a bit of quality nevertheless.

Always disliked seeing him against us, which can only be a good thing. Hopefully he can be the enforcer in the middle and Celina can be used as the centre of our creativity.
Pleased with this.

Which sums this shitshow of a club up. Why do we put up with these jokers. Was he available earlier in the window? No He was only loaned out when they bought a player in that pushed there squad to one over the limit.Think it happened only a few hours before the window closed.

Got to agree with most of the above. A noticeable pain in the proverbial every time we’ve played against him so let hope he can continue that for the good guys. A couple more signings (preferably not loans) of this standard and the powers that be could have almost claimed to know what they were about this window. Sadly that wasn’t to be.

That's really interesting, had no idea that was the case. So essentially if Pearson comes in and tears the place up, we could do a three year deal with him at Easter? And does that just apply to those loaned on deadline day? What about the others loaned earlier in the window like Celina (who we have an option to buy anyway) or even earlier in the season eg Sterling? Reading the article it looks like it applies to any loan player that is registered.Didn't realise we had an option to buy on Celina and Sterling would be a great summer signing if he can prove his fitness.Think his contact at Chelsea is up in June.

Woke up to this, great signing and one that if this club had 3-4 seasons ago wouldn't be where we are now. He is a great player and love the needle he brings to opposition.

What we've been missing for a few years now, hopefully, he'll settle in quite quickly. Was it him that did 2 of our players' ankles in 1 match, McLean being one of them ?

I thought we wanted a GK, a DM and a Target man? That's what I wanted at least. 2 outta 3 ain't bad. We did lose Soutts though, but hopefully Axel T. will do his job when fit. It's not like HS was available much of the season anyway.

Welcome to stoke city. When we were relegated i suggested on here that he was a player we need. We now have loan of him.

Brilliant signing. A shithouse well versed in the dark arts and exactly what we’ve been crying out for in midfield.
Hopefully we make the move permanent as quick as we can as Pete Smith has suggested.

You rarely get everything you need in a window though. Pearson is the difference between a reasonable window and a rotten one.

I’m expecting Powell to feature up front more as the season goes on. With his goalscoring ability it would be stupid not to. A fluid three of him, Campbell, and Gayle backed up by Brown off the bench. Competition in midfield now too. Pearson, Celina and Baker/Laurent?

The signings of Sarkic, Celina and Pearson should make for an improved second half of the season. A competent goalie, a truly creative player who can hopefully stay fit and a midfield destroyer should still transform us. A target man would have been nice but I’m now confident that we should avoid relegation with what we’ve got.
