Whatever happens with these players what's clear is the quality of the January signings has been excellent Celina has barely featured otherwise the others have all been hits including Tuanzebe despite multiple comments that he would barely play
The negative re Axel is he seems the least signable unless we wangle another loan Would assume he will get a good club at a top 5 European league

Early days but something about the way he moves reminds you of quality defenders of the past - hopefully his fitness continues to build and Utd see the value of another season to get him back to full speed........and then it could be a Shawcross scenario 🙏

He’s one of them who looks like he doesn’t need to get out of 2nd gear. Very calm and assured when he’s playing.
Think his talent definitely lies in better leagues but it depends whether his fitness will allow them teams to want him enough.

Surely gonna be at a European Champions League club next season? Someone like Marseille if they’re in it.

Don't be surprised if he ends up here. Been told by a good source he is here to prove his fitness before we make him an offer.

If we could get him on a season long loan next year that could be massive.
He’s a monster.

Averaged 11 games a season so far in his career. You can see why United have kept him for so long because if he was fit he'd have to be in contention for their 1st team.

He’s a monster. www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/axel-tuanzebe-signs-new-man-utd-contract-and-joins-aston-villa-on-loanHe's out of contract by the looks of it - although Man Utd have an option of another 12 months. It'd be a surprise if they signed up for another 12 months of him at his reported £50,000-a-week. But that historic wage will be a bit of a problem you'd think if those are his expectations going forward. Sadly got to think if he sees the season out well, there'll be a taker somewhere who'll offer him closer to that, either abroad or in the lower Prem?

I’ve been told similar, that he’s not adverse to moving to Stoke and getting games under his belt rather than playing at a higher level less frequently, he’s happy in the area as well.

Can't see it happening though, either the Shit will keep him, or sell him to another Premier league club.

There must be a chance but you'll think he will have offers from relegated premier league clubs or a couple of lower premier league, we'd need to make him a top earner on a long contact

He’s calm and assured with great awareness.
Even if he’s out of contract he’s far too good to even consider joining us permanently despite his injury woes. Would be some coup if he did though.

I guess the most we can afford is about 30k a week at a push, but thats still a massive drop in wages for him to accept.
Taking money aside though, I can see that he might be interested to stay - since he has joined the club are on an upward curve. Can be more interesting to be a part of a promotion chasing team next season, than a relegation fight in the Prem.
Most likely way would be another season loan from Man United

He's at an age where, if fit, he needs to play at the highest level and that won't be us sadly. He's not even fully fit (neither is Pearson) and he's a level above.

i am not knocking the lad but best thing we did was to sell Harry soutter,we have not missed him 1 bit, if we can persuade Axel to sign it would be a great piece of buisness buy the club, with the Soutter money in the bank, hopefully we can get Axel, Pearson,Sinclair, all in with money to spare, still think we will go for the Leicester keeper to, who is out of contract at the end of the season, hopefully Hoever on another 12 month loan deal then go all out to buy Smallbone, and a good prolific striker,, maybe Brereton, if he is interested,

I think - so far - he looks like dynamite.

If not another loan maybe he would sign a 2 or 3 year contract with the appropriate get out clause if we failed to get to the Prem next season. Surely he wouldn’t be adverse to a bit of stability with his home life etc while he recovers his full fitness......and let’s not forget any club is taking an element of risk due to his chronic injury issues.

They do have an option on him Which they will certainly exercise if they see Axel is getting games and performing. Probably unlikely he can break into the United first team (though he's arguably better than Maguire), but even if he can't United will be in a position to bring in a fee if they sell either this summer or next winter. A fully fit Axel is worth big bucks... but his injury record sucks. Even if he starts regularly till the end of the season, I'll doubt if clubs are falling over themselves to sign him up on significantly better terms that we could offer him. If he wants to stay, I can see us offering a structured deal whereby we pay him say £30k p/week next season, that then rises to £40k p/week the season after based on appearances.

His World Cup performances with Australia earned us £18m+ ... and we got compo from Australia for his time there. Wish him the very very best and he'll eventually become a solid Prem CB imo. But thank you very much Soutts!

If it offers from other clubs in this division, then we'll stand a very good chance. What's the point going elsewhere if you've only done 6 months here?
I think he'll get offers from teams in the Prem though. Burnley, Boro, Shef Utd if they all go up.
