I thought we played well there.
Stock a decent striker in that stoke team and we'd be play off contenders.
We just don't seem to know how to score

I think Brown is genuinely not league 1 standard at all Embarrassing watching him on TV plying his trade as a footballer.

We could have played another hour and still not scored, clear out needed in the summer in terms of strikers and midfield. I do have faith in Neil but not the owners at all.

Campbell? Our only attacking threat these days but sure, he’s a donkey He didn’t play well tonight, when he had the ball he did nothing with it or was to greedy Campbell basically had one of our 2 decent chances, in which he created it all by himself. He’s not been the player he was pre injury, but he’s definitely got something to offer.

Not a mention of their play acting by the commentary team - are they just used to it or what ? By the way if Lee Dixon picks up a wage for his contribution then it has to be the easiest earner ever Lee Dixon is almost embarrassed he played for Stoke. Tosser. Shite commentator He's my favourite commentator

Moan at Brown until the cows come home but we’ve created a situation where he’s literally the only striker we have if we want to press teams……

We had a good go but they had that extra quality and more intelligence.
We were still in it right to the end though so not going to be too critical of the players tonight
Clucas coming on truly baffled me though ,yet again he tried his best not to get involved.
One thing more than ever was galling looking at the 2 teams is just what we had and threw away due to our owners complacency, arrogance and narrow mindedness.

Lowe did more in his 10mins than brown did all night. We have to give him more minutes

This manager clearly hasn't learned - yet Clucas must have one of those 'must be in the squad when fit even though I'm shit' clauses in his contract because it baffles me. Carried on from Saturday where he carried on from most of his Stoke career...contributing nothing. Expecting him to start this Saturday.

Gave them more of a game than I thought we would. Thought the three loanees Sterling, Hoever and Tuanzebe all looked at home against that level of opposition.
Unfortunately the likes of Tymon, Thompson and Brown stood out like a saw thumb.

Weird game.
I thought we did well, pressured them, looked ok in possession and created a few chances.
But all in all Brighton were always in near complete control and we never looked like we’d win.
Definitely some positives though.

Any positives we can take from that? I guess it could have been more than one. Lowe looks like a great prospect. The good old now we are out of the cups we can concentrate on the league.

He has the physicality and potential but that’s all. The battle he can’t win is the one that goes on between his own ears.

We've not been terrible but other than Campbells shot in the first half and Tuanzabes header we've not done anything. These are a decent team but they're missing a few and feel like they've been half pace at times.
Lacking quality and the ability to put them under any sustained pressure. Those last ten were very frustrating when we were long diagonal balls that invariably went for a throw. Chuck Taylor up there and go straight - get bodies up there. But we just died a bit and they managed the game very easily.
Lowe made a good run (led to a corner) but was on his own up there. Needs to be given more time on the pitch with a partner.

Campbell did ok.. created our best chance of the game by beating a defender the commentator's were creaming themselves over all night and forcing their goalie into a decent save.

Anyone looking just at the score would think that it was a hard fought win for the better side. We weren’t embarrassed tonight but let’s be honest their goalie could have sat in a deck chair. 75% possession for them tells you how comfortable they were. Passing it around casually in their own penalty area shows that they weren’t in the least bit afraid of us. We lacked any creativity or attacking threat and never looked like scoring. Baker and brown are toothless. Campbell had an ok game but so many poor crosses and passes to nobody or the opposition. Failed to score in 5 of the last seven.
Worst part of it is that I don’t really care. As long as we scrape survival and don’t end up in league one.

Lots of people praising us so I thought I’d say my piece.
For an FA cup 5th round tie that was a disgusting effort from the manager, the team & the piss poor number of fans that turned out. For those that did, hat’s off.
Brighton are a great side but never had to get out of second gear. Could have got a deserved 2nd at the end.
One decent effort and missed by a country fucking mile. Wank!

Clucas is fucking gash. May as well have chucked a bag of cement onto the pitch. It probably would have got stuck in more than that fanny.
Thought their keeper was excellent with the ball at his feet. Some of the passes he picked out were quality. Paul Scholes with goalie gloves on.
I actually thought Bonham was pretty decent for us, as well as Wilmot.
I also quite like Jacob Brown but he was dreadful today. Campbell wasn’t much better.
All in all it was a good performance. We pressed hard and looked like for like first 20 minutes. I expected us to run out of steam towards the end but we didn’t. For where we are at the moment, I don’t think there can be much moaning after that team performance….. apart from seeing Clucas on the pitch

Bit of a stroll for them really. The gulf in quality, both individually and collectively was plain to see but they tried. We just have some very, very mediocre players.
I had to chuckle at the end when the commentator suggested that the chasing side usually gets one big chance at the end. What happened? Nothing at one end, Brighton hit the post!

As many have said Lowe has to start ahead of Gayle, if he doesn't look out of place against Brighton then he needs to play
