Best option is the weakest team at home. The only thing we can hope for in a cup is to develop some youngsters. We’re not going to do that against anyone decent. Not with our home form!

Spurs away for me, would be a good chance to visit their ground. Second choice Dagenham (if they beat Gills) as it's local to me. Third I'd like to have a day out in Oxford, dreaming spires and that.

Was thinking Arsenal a few days ago but my mindsets shifted now the team listing for the 3rd round is complete. Shrewsbury are now who I'm thinking & a chance to avenge our defeat a few years back and of course another match against our old foe Cotterill..
Although after his health scare during covid hopefully the grief he'd get would be more light hearted & good natured than the venom he's had in the past from us. If it's Shrewsbury of course!

Jeez that brings back some horrible memories. Remember the journey back on a mini-bus from Hartlepool & it was one of the worst and longest drives home from a match I've encountered. Remember the fringe players were getting a chance to prove themselves and no-one played well at all. Remember how crap Pericard was that match & it reinforced in my mind that he was as poor as we all thought he was. Hartlepool and he was that gash.. Embarrassing performance, awful result.
