Never ever was there 18 thousand in attendance tonight there were over 18,000 tickets scanned on the night. So there was definitely 18,000 in attendance That’s utter bollocks I’m sorry. It’s tickets sold not attendees it’s as plain as the nose on your face. There was no more than 14,000 fans physically in the ground tonight…..

Rubbish I’m not sure what the debate is. Like every team in the top 2 leagues we announce the crowd based on the total number of season ticket holders plus ad hoc sales, not those physically in the ground……..

Yes really Why is this such a difficult concept? Mate I’ve hardly missed a home game at the Brit/Bet365 and never ever was there 18,000 in that ground tonight

Thought I’d join in… there was definitely no more than 15k in there tonight. Myself & my mate had the whole row to ourselves.

Like every team in the top 2 leagues we announce the crowd based on the total number of season ticket holders plus ad hoc sales, not those physically in the ground…….. No we don't We do. I’ve been told we do, and my own eyes tell me we do. I can give you two examples going back as far as our Premier League days. Remember when we beat Fulham 3-2 in 2009/10? There was heavy snow and we were the only game nationally to survive. The crowd announced that night was 25,104 including 500 Fulham fans (over 2,000 empty seats in the away end). There was empty seats everywhere as people couldn’t make it due to the weather. Another example, Villa at home Boxing Day 2011 a boring 0-0 draw. Moved to an 20:00 kick off late in the day for TV, again empty seats everywhere. Villa sold their allocation yet the away end was half empty their fans had clearly just bought tickets to secure points for future games and stayed at home to watch it on the telly. The crowd that night, 27,739 (almost at full capacity before the corner was filled in). We’ve been doing it since then and we continue to do it, like all other clubs……

If nothing else, anything at all sung to the tune of Sloop John fucking B needs to get in a fucking landfill and never ever ever ever be heard again. I am so fucking sick of that imagination void of a song from football crowds, it makes me want to shoot myself in the head. I’d rather have Seven Nation Army and that’s saying something

Back of the south left to back of the Boothen left, probably nearer 0.5 seconds which would stand out. can you time half a second? Its F1 stuff I had to do a driver awareness course for going through a red light 0.4 seconds after it had changed.

I had to do a driver awareness course for going through a red light 0.4 seconds after it had changed. What about the amber light? Not arguing with the punishment (although I was turning left at traffic lights I go through everyday and knew that no traffic would be coming my way on the next change but I admit I broke the rules) but when I received the letter I was amazed they could measure the time that accurately especially as 0.2 seconds late you get away with it apparently.

An F1 car that’s 0.5 seconds behind another is about 40 or 50 metres away. Anyone could easily “eyeball” (eardrum?) a half-second period and it would be a very noticeable delay in music, if we can give football chants so grand a name…

Thought the South Stand sang a bit but not in enough numbers. Could hear them from where I sat. The Boothen End was very quiet. Should the club have age group prices eg under 25’s half price to try get younger fans in.
I thought it looked about 16,000 from where I sat looking around.

Yes really Why is this such a difficult concept? Always thought attendance was calculated by adding season ticket holders to match day sales. We’ve had this discussion numerous times.

The crowd may have been poor but there's a fairly large proportion who are thick as fuck, cheering after the referee's whistle to start the minutes silence after the announcer had clearly stated it would commence on the ref's whistle after the rendition of the last post.
I fucking despair at our fanbase at times, utterly embarrassing.

It wasn’t done maliciously and the Luton fans were the same …..it really wasn’t embarrassing and done with good intentions It was a round of applause for the trumpet player and like mutts says above for some reason this season clubs have swapped the order

Tickets scanned In Block 30 where I sit last night the 10/12 seats in front were empty bar my mate and his son, the 10/12 seats behind that are usually fully occupied were completely empty. On our row there is usually 8 of us there was 3. There is no way on Gods green earth 18,000 were in that stadium last night, if they’re counting scanned tickets only they’re doing it wrong….
