We are playing 5 at the back with 3 midfielders. Why the fuck should your centre forward be putting pressure on their right back? Because he was fucking 5 yards away If everyone had that attitude we will be playing vale next year Seriously you need to ask that question What football do you like watching There are 8 players between their centre mid and the through ball. There is no one tracking the midfield runner. Blaming Campbell is like taking a dustpan and brush to an earthquake

When you're out of form the first rule is to try twice as hard. Really worrying watching him at the moment, his value is dropping like a stone. Maybe not in his mind.

Campbell is inconsistent, when he’s on he’s on. When he’s off form his head seems to drop and personally I think he tries too hard. Got to remember he’s a young player, he’ll have off days, but like someone said above, on those days he needs to work harder, and try to relax when he has the ball. He’s got the ability I think, just needs to work on the mental side of things which is hugely important moving forward.
Would like to see one of the senior pros help him out a little in these moments too, Gayle has been there and done it, Fletcher was also a good partner for Campbell

Campbell had a very poor game, nothing stuck, but I really don't think it helped playing with Gayle.
It's becoming pretty obviously that Gayle has completely lost whatever he had. He's shot.
The forwards are a big concern because I don't see any progress with Brown, and I think Delap runs around like a rabbit in headlights and is some way off this level atm.

We’re basically stuck with a load of forwards who seem to prefer to play wide and no fucker with the movement of a striker. Even Delap looks better when he goes wide. We are desperate for a centre forward. The only way it might work is to push Powell up as a second striker, the front 3 stuff is t working

Utterly bizarre that anyone can look at the first goal and come to the conclusion that they need to start a thread about Campbells involvement.
The first goal was a disaster from Wilmott, completely had a brain fart and charged forward. Laurent & Baker don’t do much either to try and close the massive hole in the middle of our midfield either.
People can’t wait to get on Campbells back, I agree he was poor today & can have no arguments about being hooked, but as soon as he mis controls one ball you can sense a good chunk already chomping at the bit to get on his back.
Campbell is much more effective when he has space, so at home he either needs to play wide, or more effective up top away from home where we look to counter.
He really does need to work on his touch, but having half a stadium on his back is hardly helpful to the lad.

Looks like he's been on the Fray Bentos and Skunk diet again lately.
Brown should start ahead of him currently until he can get back up to speed.

Looks proper ropey that does. I bet they sell semi-automatic weapons / dog porn / trafficked sex slaves and all sorts. Might pop in later.

He’s always been a lazy fucker, “talent” alone isn’t enough. Bring Brown back asap People said the same about Fuller, I’m not saying Campbell is fit to lace Ricardo’s boots just yet but he definitely has a lot of potential. He’s clearly not in the best of form right now but I don’t think he’s been playing as badly as some on here make out, and honestly I don’t think the other options on the bench are an improvement - Brown and Delap would be better options for a press, but if we have a one on one chance and I need to pick one of our strikers to finish it then I’d be picking Campbell or Gayle (but he hasn’t found his form yet either).

Despite of his pace and occasional goal, I'm really starting to doubt if Campbell ever will become a Premiership striker. Right now his first touch on the ball is on par with Brown's in his first season here. His defensive work is also way off good enough, and his decision making isn't much better. I know he is fairly young yet, but on the other hand he is around Håland's age to put it into perspective.

Gayle is one who probably needs to drop to the bench, sadly it’s not happening for him and I’m not sure it will. I see signs in Delap although he’s raw, Brown needs to come in and Powell needs to be push into a more advanced role

Here we go ….we always need a scapegoat Campbell seems to becoming the next target He’s been poor mate, you can’t keep defending bad individual performances The manager should not be playing him if he can't put in a good performance.

Can’t believe all the stick Campbell gets compared to Gayle Thought Campbell was shocking today but Gayle is anonymous yet again. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t score all season. He’s totally finished But hang on, once he gets his first it will open the floodgates…….Just like after Delap got his first.

I want him to become the player he can be. He has everything but he’s not got any better since his injury. He struggles with his back to goal and never seems confident when laying the ball off and he rarely challenges in the air. However, it’s so obvious he’s better from wide areas where he can use his pace to get past people and create the angles he needs to try and score.
I am a bit uncomfortable with the amount of stick he gets though. Some seem to have taken a real dislike to him and I’m not sure why.
