Thick or Sick? Dubai may well be a good choice but some of the Loans should not be going and returned from where they came from. I will start with Delap and Smallbone. Any Further offers ? Before the spelling police come out. My spell check says I have spelt there names wrong. Don’t care . Did your spell check tell you it is spelled not spelt? Probably not as it is spelled correctly. Spelt is a type of flour amongst a couple of other things and has no connection to the verb to spell. Sorry for the joke but I've got to get a smile in somewhere after today's match. No offence meant

PS Winston Churchill could not spell either.

Stoke aren't going to Dubai for a fucking holiday Ridiculous small minded stupidity Every day is a holiday when you play for Stoke City. It is if you play against us

No-ones intimated they're going on a relaxing break, don't kid yourself that they'll be constant training and slumming it! A week roughing it in a tent on the Brecon Beacons or Scottish hills with lots of running and proper hard graft is what they'd be more deserving of than a posh hotel in the warm sunshine! That's the point folk are trying to make. In which other line of work would you get taken to Dubai after producing poor performances week in week out?! Primer example of it (thick) This is a professional football club - they may not often look like one but this sort of drivel isn’t helping 👍🏻 Whatever you say!! 🙄

No wonder we saw a performance like we just witnessed, I mean, come on, would you risk injury and be left in Stoke. 😂😂

Yeah good idea. Not sure why anyone would be against it? That’s such a lazy, passive aggressive question. Use your intellect and powers of reasoning and I’m sure you could come up with 20 reasons why Stoke Fans, at this moment in time, would be “against it.”

No amount of training where ever it is, is going to turn this bunch of garbage into a decent side.

The club would be better served by a break in wet and windy Dublin rather than sun-filled Dubai. This group of players could do with being kicked around some muddy shitty corporation pitch in down town Dublin and forced to pay 7 quid for a pint of Guinness. This type of training poolside and on pristine pitches only produces fancy Dan footballers with zero fight e.g. Campbell who has been closeted in an Academy atmosphere almost from birth . Give us a scrapper like Vardy or our own Jonny Walters who had to take a harder route ....a player who lacks fight is worth fckall. Think Huth, Cranson, Whelan, Denis Smith, Big John Ritchie, Sidibe, Jackie Marsh, they'd put this lot to shame.

Jon Walters actually started his career in Blackburn academy but left under a cloud for some sort of breach of club discipline and gradually slipped down the pyramid to non league. He used to talk about that being an eye opener and wake up call and realising he was wasting a promising career, pulled his socks up and ended up with the Premier career he merited. Perhaps that proves you're right in the fact that academies mollycoddle young players so they have no fight and need a bit of a culture shock to realise they need to fight and take personal responsibility for their fitness and effort as well as have talent.

Didn't Pulis take them to an Army camp for extra training - I might have been dreaming, but I am sure he did something like that.
The attitude of the players today is pathetic, we seemingly have a player today having watched his teammates play 5 games in 14 days - requesting to go and join his Aussie teammates for the WC rather than chip in and play an important game for the club - a club that has paid his wages and coaxed him back to fitness. Wouldn't mind but he is Scottish
Our woke younger supporters and club think that is fine - us oldies would call it being a sh^thouse

They most likely appreciated what hard graft for a fraction of their wages was all about! Today gave me the impression of a team that had downed tools as they knew they'd soon be off on to sunnier parts for a jolly, D-Mob happy if you like! Whether they get worked hard or plenty of time to lounge in a pool and sunbath, matters not to me, going to a place like that Is somewhere a great % of our fans could only dream of! & when most have paid their hard earned money to travel & watch complete debacles like today, its always going to leave a nasty taste! & in some peoples eyes, they think mine and other like minded views mean we're 'Thick'!! 🙄😬

I think they have been given this first week off before flying out there. Hopefully we will hear tomorrow that has been cancelled and they are expected in training on Monday regardless of the fact that some may have booked family holidays.

Football and real life are utterly disconnected and you simply cannot view it any other way. That may be wrong but it’s how it is and if other teams recognise that warm weather training benefits them (which it clearly does) then who are you benefiting by sending our lot to the Brecon Beacons whilst watching the injuries pile up and then see us further humiliated come December ? I understand the anger (and yes I’m fucking fuming) but It’s just a pointless and yes stupid argument

Whatever they do put there has to work AN has to create something that both the players and the supporters can get behind The club won't change the manager again this season but clearly supporters are flipping from apathy to anger

None of what has been written is tongue in cheek is it. Yes it has, someone wrote they're off for a jolly boys trip out! Going to Dubai is something that the majority of fans can only dream about. It is being interpreted as a 'treat', a reward for failure, that what is getting up people's noses. If it was going to make the difference to get us promoted no one would bat an eyelid.
