6 from me he's trying to find a winning formula but he's certainly got his work cut out. Gouranga.

Can’t be held accountable for the mistakes for their goals and because of a lack of fitness within the squad he’s forced into square pegs. None of these are his players.
Tried things that didn’t work but if I’m honest I’d struggle to come up with ideas about what he could have done.

Can’t give him anything today bizzare line up, and the subs were even worse.
We can’t play 5 at the back with these slow out of shape plodders.
For me 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 is all we can play until January

His only excuse is he's 'new'.
That was totally unacceptable - borderline disgrace.
1/10.
Never my choice in a million years, don't understand it at all and whilst I hope he comes good I'm pessimistic at best.

1 out of 10.
Absolutely fucking clueless team selection. Formation and personnel.
UUNBEATEN with a back four and he puts out one of the weakest Stoke defences in memory.
He's made subs just to go back to it. Hopefully he's learned a lesson but I don't believe anything these managers say when they come in.

Exactly it was piss poor Why are we playing 5 at the back when we don’t have the players to do it?!

Can't ultimately give him any credit really for making the same mistakes the previous manager was deemed to have made.
First half thought we were good value for the draw at least - only one team in it.
Second half however, slaving away with a wing back system and shoe horning a centre half there is as bad as throwing in a kiddie central midfielder. Certifiable. It's playing a system for the sake of it despite him saying he wouldn't do that in his first interview.
We'll now see what he's made of.

No more than 3 for that shit show.
You can only hope that unlike MON he learns from it .
Then again what formation can you play with no bite in midfield and central defenders as mobile as a rusty old skip?

He should’ve kept the back 4, Brown should not be playing RWB.
The team let him down though, that first goal was diabolical from all involved.

Got the line up wrong and it showed in the performance. It’s still early days and Reading are now 2nd for a reason so I’ll try not be too disheartened by it. Neil needs to be given a bit of time.

Generous 4 from me.
Poor formation choice Wrong starting line up Last years top scorer at right wing back Thought dropping Taylor was wrong choice and thought he looked more comfortable than the others when he came on.
Scores points for introducing Smallbone to the starting line up who put plenty of balls into the box which is a refreshing change. Also scores points because although we lost we were arguably the better team got most of the match.

3 Shit formation Shit line up Shit subs Shit tactics You’ll find now and again Neil’s teams will have games like that. Most of the time his little tinkerings will work, but there’ll be some cases like today where it goes really wrong and you just look shit. You’ll be fine come end of the season, and he’ll definitely learn from today.

Zero.
Only excuse is that he doesn't know how shit the squad actually is.
Genius from the board to only give him 4 days to address it.
He needs to bin off 5 at the back until Tymon and Clark are back.

That was a poor performance.
Delap and Campbell up front offer no mobility.
Clucas wasn’t awful today, but never looks to pass forwards.
The formation was tripe and unsuited to the players.
The players looked disinterested overall.

2 from me.
Not a good line up, and his changes made it worse to be honest. Not a clue what Brown was doing at RWB for so long while Delap floundered up top??
He got it wrong and I was actually angry watching that 2nd half, which is a first for me. What worried me is the players on the whole looked dejected / disinterested.
Many more like that and he’ll run out of new manager ‘feel good factor’ pretty fucking soon. Only positive was Powell but he seemed to be doing the job Baker is on the pitch for, he needed to be 20 yards further forward
