Actually was a keeper at the U18 WC sent home for doing that during a game, Was S American but forget which country. He was getting abuse from behind the goal so decided to walk the length of the away fans , Cororizo in hand. Sent home just for that? The games gone 😁 I remember the commentator saying he was having banter with the supporters until he realised what he was doing. So long ago I think I watched it in Screensport on my first satellite dish

A 'busy time' ahead. Christ on a bike. We've signed a bucket load of shite in the summer. Nonsense, I think we signed some quality in the summer - unfortunately we still have a few holes in the squad despite all that business, but you can't expect to change the whole team in one window - if our defence and GKs hadn't been neglected for a few seasons in a row I think we'd have fared much better.
Burger, Mmaee, Vidigal, Gooch, Pearson, Tchamedu were all good signings for me
Rose and Stevens are reasonable squad players
The jury is still out on Leris who has looked good at times, and Jojic who we've seen nothing of
Johnson and Wesley have been flops so far
Haks, Hoever, McNally, Travers are all reasonable loan signings
On the topic of this post though, I think Iversen will be a decent signing.
Just swap Junho for Pearson in the good. Pearson is a decent enough championship DM but if Schu doesn’t fancy him he could become a burden.

I think our best 3 is Burger, Baker, Bae. If we aren’t bringing in another left back, then Thompson is currently our best there. That leaves Burger to play deep but both Baker and Bae will get tired and need resting. I’d rather Burger move further up and have Pearson come in than any of our other options.

His wages are probably too high for a bench option and he was given a 4 year deal on them 🙈🙈🙈

When Clucas re-signed on a longer deal, it was announced that he was basically earning the same over two years as he would have done in 12 months (better tax breaks?). Anyways, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s taking in decent money overall but it’s spread across 4 years, hence the reason for employing him until he’s 32.

Sounds like we'd be open to making it permanent depending on performance “We will be able to assess the situation again during the next transfer window in the summer once Daniel’s loan has come to an end.”

Brighton is a free hit essentially so if it helps him get up to speed for the important league stuff he should definitely play tomorrow.

Shilton, Banks.......... Muggleton came on loan from Leicester before he signed (as stated above) I'd completely forgotten we signed Muggleton permanently from Celtic, not Leicester. Lou had him on loan at Stoke from Leicester, then took him to Scotland not long after (he then sent us Gordon Marshall on loan to cover the loss!)

No probably not but there's no doubt he gets fed information when a player is at the ground. Ah sorry with you saying he’d probably seen him there I thought you meant he(Percy) was there. Understandable, my mistake.

Sounds like we'd be open to making it permanent depending on performance “We will be able to assess the situation again during the next transfer window in the summer once Daniel’s loan has come to an end.” I brought it up the other day. Unlike Travers, Iversen will be in his final 12 months at the end of this loan. Leicester may have been able to price out people before but I doubt they’ll do that in the summer. I don’t have an issue with loaning players if they are 1) better than we could hope for AT THE TIME OF JOINING, or 2) there is a realistic chance of us signing them at some point. If Leicester go up, I doubt they’ll care much for their current 3rd choice goalkeeper. I do worry that he could end up getting recalled (we ourselves have recalled 3 (4?) keepers in the last 2-3 years), but long-term, I could see him being here and solving our goalkeeping issue.

Good news. Loan feels sensible given it was clearly done quickly. We can then have a proper look in the summer.
