Defensive just really scares me.
Taylor and Wilmot looked really poor tonight.
Jagielka did ok. Fosu, not too bad.
Missed Tymon as well.

Smallbone is a player but he obviously wasn’t turning back and passing to the keeper enough for MoN’s liking Smallbone isn't a worker in the midfield he needs to be carried no Laurent or Thompson in there he's a liability. Which makes the inclusion of Clucas senseless. We still need thar proper DM.

And i have to give credit to the boro side who if they keep that up will walk ths devision They won’t make play offs they are bang average. However when playing Stoke most teams look like Barca-Fucking-Lona.

Smallbone and Baker were non exiciting. And before you say yes Baker did put a great cross in. Smallbone is a player but he obviously wasn’t turning back and passing to the keeper enough for MoN’s liking No he didn't he passed to them instead

Or we massively missed Laurent. Night and day without him next to baker in the middle. Clucas shouldn't be near the bench.

Playing a wing back system with not a fit wing back in the squad!

Signs of a good team to play badly and get a result.
Probably our worst performance since Millwall but knew it was going to be a difficult game against a strong Boro side.
With Tymon, Clarke, Souttar, Laurent, Powell and the newly signed Delap all to return to the starting XI. That's not a bad result against a fully strength Middlesborough side with no injuries or suspensions.
When I seen the team sheet it did give me a shiver and I knew we were in for a long night.
But to be fair to Michael he changed the formation and personnel and we could have won it with our chances in the last 10 minutes.
Not the best performance but I'll take the point and with a few players returning for the weekend, I'm feeling quietly confident for Sunderland.

He's sucked the life out the club.Anyone who can't see this is deluded. Total scattergun management. They played one up front against us as most do against our three centre halves and walked through the midfield. Shocking manager .

I would say I'm 51/49 in favour of MON-in (I'm struggling to say that though I must admit) but that second half in particular was inexcusable. Boro absolutely battered us, we had ZERO midfield and the defence was a shambles too. We've got some fantastic forward players getting no service whatsoever, and teams just walk through our midfield. That was a complete disgrace. HOW?!

I’m not saying Killkenny’s the answer but when he came on at least he looked busy. Clucas spends half his time jogging around. There energy levels were twice what ours were. I’d love to see the miles covered comparison.

And that is fucking scary. We've been abysmal since Delap has been here yet he seems to be bulletproof. As you say, get rid of the whole lot.

I think he will be fuming with his players who wasted their many chances to put the game out of sight.

Middlesborough are a very good side who I expect to be fighting for the playoffs. And Chris wilder is a top manager too. They've not had a good start to the season but they've been playing well and been unfortunate. I agree though the performance was abysmal and we deserved nothing from it. We were battered for the majority of it and the game passed the midfield. I don't in anyway think that was a good performance and said as much saying it was the worst since Millwall. But despite that and with the personnel we are missing and Delap to come in. I do feel confident going forward whether that is with Micheal at the helm or someone else. We've got a good squad here and it was nice to see him make the tactical change which ultimately won us the point.

No intensity at all. Playing players in a system and not one of them seems to know what to do. The midfields no existent and we’re vulnerable at the back. It only takes a simple ball over the top or a simple one two and the defence is sliced open.

It's funny how things go. We looked the better side away at Huddersfield and would have won the match were it not for a scuffed penalty and our keeper throwing one in to his own net and we finished up with nothing. Tonight we got a draw despite looking a distant second best. Football is the chanciest sport of all, specially in the Championship where you can't put a sliver of paper between most of the teams. The whole season will be like this so man up (if we can still say that), stop whining and hang on for the ride! What we need most of all is MOMENTUM.

They are different players but it was a massive improvement. Clucas shouldn't even be on the bench.

So pedestrian it’s frightening, no urgency or intensity which isn’t a shock in fairness. Looked like there was no team chemistry, no one seemed to know where each-other was and playing passes/flicking balls on in hope more than knowing someone’s there. Just all very beige.

The tactics he keeps playing at home are atrocious. There's just nothing going forward. No width at all. So everyone just keeps passing back . Time to move on . He just won't change tactics

Cold wet and windy Wednesday night at Stoke 😁. So of course others will have their own opinions which they're entitled too. It was a shit performance for the most part, I'm not denying that. But there's positives to take too and that's all I'm doing. Excited for Sunderland now.
