Always remember Joe Jordan shouting to him from the dugout giving him instructions at the old Victoria ground, when Lou went to Celtic and Joe was our manager

Foggo scored the winning goal for Birmingham at the Vic early in the 90-91 season and he put Man City ahead in the famous Boxing day match.
Classy player and good bloke as well.

Cracking player. You know you're getting old when you hear someone like him is turning 60 š I knew I was old last year when I was watching Paul Ince's son, Kevin Campbell's son and Ian Wright's grandson line up! And when I need a piss every 5 bastard minutes. All good points, very well put š š š š

Always remember him scoring the second goal at Fail Park in our promotion season. Their end just emptied.

Always remember him scoring the second goal at Fail Park in our promotion season. Their end just emptied. I was in that end. Were 4 or 5 blokes spent the whole game looking for Stoke fans ...š¤ Went in goal at Bournemouth and did very well until a last minute Ekoku qualiser. He mentioned after that he'd played as an amateur keeper in the Birmingham leagues when younger

A player who you would never give less than a 7 for his performances. I can't think of a single supporter who didn't rate him. He was Mr Consistency and one of my all-time likeable players. Loved his commentaries with Nige. I'm amazed that he's 60. Whatever, Happy B'day Nigel and thanks for the memories.
OS doffs flat cap.

But at the same time, it's an absurd and ultimately funny joke. Whoever wrote it, you have to laugh. No alternative.

Was going to ask, "Where do we get a player like THAT again?" but that mold was obviously a one-off. Good at whatever he takes on, but humble about it.
Salute! World needs more people like that.

First goal on this, the last minute winner at Hartlepool, triggered one of so many great mentals that season. Biting wind blowing off the North Sea; as cold as Iāve ever been at a match.

Think he scored the winning goal for us on a Wednesday night at home to Plymouth to see us promoted if memory serves me right.

Went totally nuts when that went in. Corner in, Big Vince headed it goalwards and Foghorn nodded it in. Certainly warmed us all up!

with good footballers Potter & Keen outside it was a well balanced midfield, no real pace (Razor maybe) but that was made up for with Sheron & especially Sturridge We'd have probably gone up that year with a pacy winger. Potter was OK but probably the weak link in the side. (The goalies weren't very good either were they? Prudhoe and Muggleton?) Prudhoe muggleton and sinclair were my first memories of our GKs, I thought they were all brilliant when I was a kid. I especially remember our GK getting injured in one match at home, I think it was tranmere and sinclair coming on and having the game of his life. Wish I could find the highlights on YouTube!

Heād come back to haunt us a few years later in the Anglo Italian Cup semi final penalty shoot-out vs. Notts County. He was also a better keeper for Crewe than anything we had at time. Prudhoe was okay (joint player of the season winner alongside Wallace when we reached the playoffs in 95/96 - if you overlook what happened between him and Keen at Huddersfield!!)

Was a decent keeper. First game for us at Bradford he stopped us getting a hiding

Prudhoe was a moderner day Gary Sprakeā¦..brilliant one minute than calamitous the next. Ronnie was totally the oppsiteā¦6/10 every week, didnt make many howlers but any shots within a yard of either post went in. Coukd never really work Muggers outā¦ok in patches i guess
Met Prudhoe and Gleggy outside the Vic once, decent blokes the pair of em. Both Sunderland fans I believe

I remember that great save from Joachim then let a ball almost bounce over him a few mins later. Yep Sinclair was just an ok keeper

Was Next to Nick Hancock for those pens against Notts County on the Boothen and he couldn't watch and I was giving him commenrtry.

Was never a backpass. Their winning goal was also yards offside. Lino was caught wrong footed

Great thing about YouTube, you get people combining their passions for 90s lower-league midfield maestro soccer players and shoegaze-y American instrumental college rock

We'd have gone up if Coates had backed Macari financially and not been in the business of selling our best players and pocketing the cash Heās never āpocketed cashā, he just simply didnāt have the wealth and resources then that heās got now. The club was haemorrhaging money, and the books had to be balanced. Put nothing into the club, sold pesch in March that season when we had a chance of going up, sold the club at a profit. He made money out of stoke and put very little into it

I know how gutted the manager was at this as I spoke to him and heard this first hand. Coates was a complete failure as a chairman in his first spell and was concerned only with selling players against his managers wishes. Don't know how a stoke fan can come on here and think that in those circumstances during that season it was a good idea to sell pesch
