That Aylesbury is a pretty area. (At least on Google Earth!) Imagine my disgust when I saw Vale Park on it. (Nah it's actually a pretty green space behind a technical school) The pubs and liquor stores are clearly marked - that town has it's priorities straight! I walk through different areas of SOT and other cities/villages on occasion so make sure you're not picking your nose or scratching your arse if outside and a funny looking car drives by! Poignant note: Couple years ago (It's been updated since) I "walked" by my dad's house in Missouri and they actually caught him outside walking in the garden. (He was outside a lot). He had passed away approx. 6 months prior so those pics are from whenever they had last updated. Screwing around on Google Earth and I get one last look at my dad! It was just a faint view from over his shoulder but no doubt it was him. From that point, I was hooked. Sounds like there's enough abandoned facilities and such for one of you to start up an "Abandoned" show on Netflix! I once went on Google Earth for a "walk" through LA to see if if was anything like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. It was a bit, except in GTA there aren't metal grilles over all the windows and doors. An old friend who's from LA once told me that if you built up all the area between London and Bristol so they joined up into one big city, that's how big LA is! So I thought ok, lets see how long it takes to "walk" out of this place... i couldn't believe how long it was taking, then eventually i saw snow capped mountains in the distance and thought yes! I'm nearly there! ... then when I got to mountains i found they were actually inside the city, the buildings going partly up the sides then thinning out, then trees, then snow. So i gave up and went back to satellite view lol Other places I've been for "walks" over there are Columbus GA, Bridgetown NJ, Buffalo NY, Brooklyn NY, and Pueblo CO, cos I got friends online in them places. Found an area in Columbus with loads of weird architecture, like buildings that looked like ancient Greek or Roman temples or fantasy castles, one of them had the freemasons symbol on it, made me curious about the history of the place. Sorry to hear of your loss, rest in peace to your dad x I am not sure if it’s Google Earth but a programmer who was a Manchester United fan with a sense of humour had a quiet moment, and if you key in Liverpool FC, the globe spins and logs onto the UK then zooms in on Liverpool and then Anfield witch is proudly named as “ SHIT-HOLE”

Because I just tried what you said and when it zoomed in on Anfield it was just named "ANFIELD - LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB". But then i scrolled up to Goodison Park, and its proudly named "GOODISON PARK - LIVERPOOL FC MATCHDAY PARKING"

Surely the Dippers' parking lots don't go THAT far out. At least it doesn't say "What's all the fuss about?" when I search the Bet.

They shall remain nameless!! 🤣

1979: Does ENGLISH FOOTBALL need INVESTMENT? | Brass Tacks | Classic BBC
Interesting looking at the old grounds here and is sort of related as it talks about investment in football
