Bonham
Wilmot Taylor Flint/Jagielka Fox
Baker Thompson Smallbone
Fosu/Campbell Gayle Brown/DWP
That would work in the short term?

We also need three up top.
It’s clear our best players are attacking players, so get more of them on the pitch.

It's not rocket science or post rationalisation said at the weekend tymon should not have played at Huddersfield He should also have gone off when he had cramp v blackpool ore the injury ita a season defining injury for us again as we simply can't play the system without him

the bit i don’t get is there was no obvious sign of either being injured badly when they came off v Hudders.

There must be something inherently wrong with our methods. I know every club has injuries and we obviously don't pay as much attention to other clubs as we do our own but it can't just be a coincidence.
The number of injuries, especially to key players we pick up is absolutely ridiculous.

the bit i don’t get is there was no obvious sign of either being injured badly when they came off v Hudders. I thought this. Tymon actually hurdled the barriers at the end of the game to give his shirt to a fan in the front row. If your ankle is 6 weeks bad and in a boot you wouldn't be doing that would you? Laurent also wandered off the pitch pretty normally. I'm wondering if it has happened in training this week.

If it is training ground based, then maybe the sessions are quite intensive. If they are though, maybe that’s why we lack so much energy and zip on the pitch. Either way, something isn’t right as this is season on season now.

MON says we tend to get injuries in games, not training, as if there's nothing we can do about it.
Surely we need to look at how we warm up before the game, before half time and before subs come on?

Even with these players fit, MON will still have us playing slow crab football.

With no wing backs and 4 decent forward players I expect we'll ignore the obvious change to 433 and persist with 532.

Are the injuries impact injuries (sustained during matches)?
If they are that's pure bad luck
Are they muscle injuries?
If they are that points to a fitness issue
from what I can see in the main they are impact injuries which have occurred during games
O'Neill time is up but this is just bad luck isn't it?

The only thing you can’t prevent is impact injury.

I'm all for him going, but it's a shame he hasn't got these decent players available to him to play how he's built it together. We saw the difference with his two preferred wing backs against Blackpool.
