Think we need Souttar back most importantly. Any latest on him? Sorry if I’ve missed the info amongst all the kiddy talk No news Presumably he will play an U21 game first

Souttar will be making his comeback against Forest for the under 21s next Monday.
Powell already back in training.
Kilkenny is out for a couple of months with a cruciate.

looks very healthy he isnt injured, he is skiving and was incredibly upset that we triggered his extension Have they changed the definition of skiving to turning up and being with your teammates all day?

I’m sure Hacket meant to say ligament injury rather than cruciate Not every ligament is a year out mate Cruciate is the big one whilst the others are a couple of months …..this one sounds like a meniscus ligament which is 6-8 weeks

The brace will just be a precaution mate to protect it and nothing sinister If they’ve said before the World Cup it adds up it’s a meniscal ligament I’m just assuming though

I’d my own miniscus done and with keyhole surgery and proper rehab I was back running in 8 weeks. Still a long time out for a loan player though…

MCL or LCL, either way as long as it isn’t the ACL or PCL it won’t be too long, and as someone above pointed out the brace is just to speed up recovery by protecting against further sprains while healing. If it isn’t a really bad one (which it doesn’t sound like it is) then 8-10 weeks is more than realistic

Any news on Sir Nicholas of Powell?
He seems to have vanished into thin air all of a sudden?

If Smallbone is out then that's what we have a squad for and hopefully a pragmatic manager who will adjust rather than sit and worry about it. Although he scored, I'm not sure he would be the biggest loss in the line up right now.

If Smallbone is out then I hope we see Thompson come in with Baker pushed up to play the most attacking midfield role.
I’ve got a horrible feeling Clucas will start.

Your suggestion or even DWP coming into the side would preferable over Clucas. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t Clucas though unfortunately.

Clucas looked very sharp when he came on Saturday, like many under the new manager, he may have stepped up his game to a new level.
