Not seen a thread on him yet but far from impressed with him so far. Seems to take the easy way all the time and doesn’t really cover the defence either. I think Thompson is better and we generally seem to play better with Thompson in the side. Feel free to abuse me😉

The fact that you think Thompson could be better says it all really. Two players who are League One standard at best

Sums up Stoke City, couple of good games followed by a run of games that looks like he's never played before.

Another one who we all thought was a defensive midfielder but doesn’t really offer any protection to the defence.
It’s the one position that our previous managers have neglected but I think AN will make it a priority over the next couple of transfer windows.

Thompson can do the job better than anyone else we have got

I think Neil needs to have a look at Thompson in there too.

Laurent and Smallbone are average at best.
Got sick of watching them literally strolling through the game

No way not having that, Laurent has looked a really good player, strong, physical and doesn't give the ball away. He was one of the reasons why we were so dominant in the last 3 games and can't take any blame for the losses

I think the answer is Baker higher up and Thompson deeper where he can pick his passes. Smallbone is the weak link in midfield for me

I've seen absolutely nothing from him that tells me he's a better option in that position than Thompson.
Big, strong powerful looking player but has little to no effect on games at all.
In the first half today it was as good as I've seen him play, and he was as distinctly average as the rest of them. Sums him up.

When he’s playing well he’s really good, but he’s been very hit and miss so far.

Not a world beater, but he's a good signing on a free. I quite like him alongside Baker in a 2.

I don’t mind him and he’s had one excellent game to date. The one that’s dissapointed me recently has been Baker. He’s clearly one of our best players but looks like he needs a rest as he’s been poor the last 2 games. Thompson should come in next game for me.

Him and Baker doesn't work and Smallbone is very hit and miss
I'd go with
Thompson
Laurent or Baker
Powell

Tbf he was really good at Preston not seen todays game but what I’ve seen before the Preston game has really looked less than average

All our midfield were poor today. If I was forced to pick amongst them Laurent probably comes out on top, just about.
Baker and Smallbone very insipid and ineffectual.

He’s just abit too casual at times for me. It looks good when it works, but there’s been a few times already where he’s been dispossessed and the opposition have gone on to score or nearly scored. He just needs to move it quicker & stop getting caught in possession.

I think Neil needs to have a look at Thompson in there too. For months many have been saying we are better with Thomson than without at Norwich id play all three Thomson Laurent and baker with Powell behind brown or Campbell

The elephant in the room is Lewis Baker, who I think has been woeful all season. Poor delivery from set pieces, bitty performances throughout the season and as a captain doesn't seem to be setting any kind of pace to our play.
Everyone else seems to be getting stick each week yet Baker gets away scot free.

He’s been very poor the last couple of games. Not sure if it’s the role he’s playing. Always thought he’s more suited to be more advanced behind the strikers.

He’s a very poor signing so far , but that’s what you get for free , ffp is killing us, Pulis never spent that much to get us promoted but in todays terms it’s a massive amount

Not “woeful” no more than average
