He can go today and that won’t be soon enough, but let’s not fool ourselves, as bad as O’Neil is, it is the board who are truly responsible for this shitshow.

Whoever comes in now is going to have a hell of a job.
He should have gone in March/April. It was so obvious

The same board that brought O'Neill in, who is now deemed not good enough by the same people you say aren't paid to research alternative managers? The same board that have given us Lambert, Rowett and Jones in the same amount of calendar years as we've been in the Championship? Let's pull no punches here. The owners are useless and I could pull 4 or 5 people off here who would make better footballing decisions than this lot have. The day they appointed Paul Lambert to save us in the PL is the day they should have held their hands up and put the club up for sale. Everything else after has been nothing short of a laughable shit show. I know they're useless but it's still their job to source replacements unfortunately. The only hope is that at least JC was prepared to go for Flores and even Jones looked an interesting appointment at the time, so at least he's not restricted to Dad's roladex of Mick McCarthy and Neil Warnock. But I do worry about who's advising him (or not, as the case may be). That's like saying Tony Pulis used to scout footballers but never signed them. It's all well and good looking at the likes of Flores and Jokanovic but not ending up with them at your club speaks more about us and the way we're run than them. I bet your arse to a dollar they took one look at the club, the setup or lack of, the amount of work our manager's have to do and run an absolute mile. Even then...Flores to Lambert. Seriously?

I was just dismayed to see Farke joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in June - he was free until June. Jesus wept. and Jakonivich is at dynamo Moscow since 1st July. Dammit. Dyche it is then.

Whoever comes in now is going to have a hell of a job. He should have gone in March/April. It was so obvious I’d argue it was obvious way before then. Christ knows what the owners are thinking, he’s not had the easiest of circumstances in financial terms but it doesn’t excuse the inept tactical bollocks we’ve been witnessing for what seems like an eternity now.

Just heading back towards Central London now having been up from 6am,on a train at 7.45am and around 200 quid apportioned to following this rotten and rudderless club.
That performance was absolutely unacceptable and it's obvious that nothing has been learned and nothing looks likely to change either.
Every day that we keep him in the job is a step closer to relegation. He's devoid of ideas and doesn't know how to affect positive change. This season has the potential to go very pear-shaped very quickly (I'm already getting strong Chic Bates 97/98 vibes) and quick, decisive action is required before we're really mired in the shit.
Get him gone.

This week leading up to our first game of the season after a dreadful pre season he didn’t even turn in on Monday. Rory and Dean took training, I’m not sure if this was a personal matter or what but you would fully expect the manager to be preparing for the opposition.

Don't worry folks, we've got another half a dozen games at least of continued shite before we do a Forest and find a manager to drag us up off the floor.... plenty of time 😂😂

I don’t want him gone, we’re 1 game into the season. Shit performance no doubt but there are / were some positives. On paper we have a good squad (need a couple more) so I wouldn’t be pulling the trigger just yet. What were the positives, not the players, from the set up he used? Are you asking me what I think so you can attempt to debunk it all or are you asking because you actually have an interest that someone thinks differently?

Millwall commentator " Stoke have no desire " also " Stoke are losing 2-0 and are walking around "
Heartbraking to watch that, the players obviously do not respect or want to play for him.
Smell the bloody coffee Coates and save our season, get rid of the bloody idiot now.
Whats all the fuss about, I'll tell you.... that team will get relegated.

He’s fully chosen the path of pig headedness like so many before him. What is he seeing with this formation and system that makes him so attached to it? It doesn’t offer us anything going forwards and it’s not even like we’re watertight with it at the other end. The massive issue we have is that he simply won’t change it, and I really don’t know why! If he wants to play this system effectively then we need another 3 players for the wide positions- it’s not going to happen!

Its a discussion no, if you don't want people disagreeing with you then this probably isn't the place for you. I am interested in what part of the set up you think worked as none of it worked for me.

He doesn’t have the character or personality to be a tough manager who commands respect. He’s not pro-active in any way. Oh to have a team that plays on the front foot.

I think today was the day he finally lost all of our fanbase.
There were a few still wanting him to keep his job, but I think he's well and truly lost them now.
I wanted him gone after our away game against Barnsley last season.
Shame as I really wanted him to do well and I do like him. He needs to go before it turns very ugly.
