Get rid of a good upcoming talent in Forrester to them lot but bring in a 33 year old Aden flint inš canāt get my head around this one at all. I don't think I've ever felt so detached from this club as I do now

Collins and Campbell were different players under that clown. Campbell went a dozen odd games without a goal and Collins and Souttar were brough in gradually in the cups and looked quality when so many asking to just chuck them in. Both signed up of course as did Campbell. This nonsense if youngsters falling out with MON is a myth and nothing to back it up. Can criticise MON but one mistake he dplybhadnt made is handling the youngsters. Just more Bayern nonsense. Not every young player is s great prospect, destined for great things because they're young. And I don't say they are. That's just bollocks. We just happen to have had a very good crop of young players who with the right wind can do lots in the game. Taylor, Souttar and Forrester all with the right wind should be PL footballers. It has fuck all to do with their age. That's just a lazy bullshit argument made up by people who can't think of anything original to say. It's boring. Obviously you can see something that top scouts can't see š your argument is that they 'should be PL footballers'....if not for injury Souttar probably will be, he's injured and hardly the managers fault as was attracting top interest it seemed. To say Forrester should be is nonsense even by your standards

First Stoke player to move to vale since 1978, which feels a bonkers stat. When was the last time we signed a vale player? Chamberlain? It's actually quite bizarre given it's not a sectarian/political divide. You would've thought at least a stoke player or two being released in that last 44 years would've gone to vale given the geographical convenience.

The amount of players that never make it is staggering. That's not to say they wouldn't have made it without opportunity. Talent without opportunity is simply wasted talent. Plenty have the ability to play higher but for any number of reasons they don't. The worst reason being that they have not had the opportunities they deserve.
Anyone who has watched the 18s and 23s will know the talent that Messrs Souttar, Taylor, Collins, and Forrester have shown. So why are we so quick to write off Bayern's thoughts on this when one of those has just been sold for mega bucks twice in a year, one is our best defender and the best defender in the league, and the other two are similar potentoal-wise to the other two?
Indeed, the fortunes of Collins and Souttar show EXACTLY what we should be doing instead of possibly having two defenders with a combined age of 73 on the pitch at Millwall on Saturday.

Should have been given far more opportunities as has been proven by his move to fellow Championship rivals league one play off hopefuls Salford's under 23 development squad........

The mismanagement of young players under MON is becoming a growing and concerning trend. Souttar may disagree, along with DWP, along with Sparrow, along with Taylor, along with Bursik, along with Campbell. If Forrester feels there is too much competition ahead of him and has turned down a contract then a move benefits all parties as long we have clauses in the contract.

Not Flint or Chester and the likes.....we have brought outstanding talent through. They deserve opportunities.

Verlinden is a casing point, and that's not a criticism by the way as many people thought the same Even to a layman like me it was obvious that Collins was destined to be a top player, physically at 17, the way he played with the ball at his feet, the way he organised older pros around him it was obvious. Souttar was another who it was obvious quite quickly had most of the attributes to have a very good career in the game. Do people honestly look at Forrester and think the same, what are his outstanding attributes? I'm not knocking him by the way I can see he has some potential and If he proves the club wrong and goes on to bigger and better things good luck to the lad, it happens all the time and much better managers than MON have released players and it's come back to bite them. And as much as they our rivals Vale are a decent club for him to take his career to the next level.........

If Forrester feels there is too much competition ahead of him and has turned down a contract then a move benefits all parties as long we have clauses in the contract. Sparrow has played one professional game for us and been behind Duhaney in the pecking order whoās possibly the most nothing football player Iāve seen play for Stoke. Bursik was dropped for perennial League One back up goalkeeper Jack Bonham. Taylor has played a single game for us and Iād imagine will sit behind 33 year old Aden Flint in the squad. DWP won player of the month then was dropped from the squad. Campbell has stagnated. Tom Edwards was bombed. And now weāre shipping Forrester off to the Vale in favour of the aforementioned Flint. Hardly a roaring success bar Souttar is it?

And as much as they our rivals Vale are a decent club for him to take his career to the next level......... I disagree re Souttar. He needed the loans badly. He's a totally different player now to the one even 2.5 years ago. He's come on so much and learned so much. And is imo a real example of what hard work and dedication can do to take an average defender to a higher level. For example when he was at Ross County was it? He couldn't win headers, he looked awful in the air. It seems daft to say but he was. Utterly useless, would misjudge them and jump under the ball and would flick it on more than not. He's come on so much. He always looked like he should make it at a Championship level but nothing more. Now that ceiling has been blown out the water with his dedication and ability to learn.
