He does sound a bit injury-prone, mind you.... Say what now.

Hasn't he been linked with us before? I seem to remember misreading a headline as being about Alison Moyet!

He’s a good player. The Flint signing is looking more and more strange. It only makes sense to me if playing a back four and we haven't yet pre season Even then I don’t think it does. Jagielka, Wilmot, Mawson and Forrester would be enough for the squad for a back 4.

28 so not a bad age.
However only 60 appearances in the last 4 years.
As with any of our signings now, god knows if it will turn out to be a good one.

Amazing to think he was in the England squad just before the 2018 World Cup. Very odd career Worried about that! Vimmer…

Makes sense,
Guess if Fox has found a destination or Taylor having another loan out it means: So until a bit after the World Cup we’ll have a back set up options of • Wilmot, Jags, Mawson (Flint, Taylor/Fox) • Flint, Jags, Mawson (Wilmot, Taylor/Fox)
And then after the WC we can have:
• Wilmot, Souttar, Mawson (Jags, Flint, Taylor/Fox)
Happy days, now get him wrapped up and then it’s just an easy matter of snapping up the versatile L/RWB that can both both sides, another DM and this target man. Bish, bash, bosh

Is it that disastrous to have Taylor and Forrester having one more season out on loan at league one level? Both look like they could have been part of our squad this year and i'd have been happy with that, but equally happy to go with MONs judgement, as whilst is not been without fault, its been a lot better than previous management's in youth. It’s not so much signing another defender as that defender being Flint, who doesn’t seem to suit a back three. Yeah that seems a fair shout. The reports I've had from my Bristol mates who've followed his progress since he left them, tell me he's completely finished, which isn't the greatest endorsement. He's just a cheap (wages) version of Batth to me which is weird when we consider O'Neill bombed him out because he isn't technical enough. Probably signed to ensure we have someone who can stand up to the physical long, high ball teams to a target man.

I think if we finish top half we'll have pulled off a miracle this season.

It was definitely because he didn’t suit how MoN wanted us to play. He clearly didn’t rate him.

Says right footed and watching the vid above he is predominately right footed but looks to be comfortable on his left

No Souttar. One or both of Taylor/Forrester are likely on their way out. Mawson will play in a position left or right of centre. Flint won’t. We have Jagielka who can play central and won’t find a better replacement for Souttar than Taylor. It’s an ideal situation with no need for Flint. Jagielka is 40. He’s an injury away from retirement. Taylor has only ever played in league 2. I can’t imagine a top league 2 team succeeding in the Championship.

Surely we can’t take him on with that record? Every signing now is a risk, it’s the league we’re playing in unfortunately. Age, injury history, just what we’ve got to contend with.

He's not a team just one player My point was that, despite having a good first season, it was against teams that would be comfortably relegated in this league. League one teams struggle here more often than not, the jump is great, and it’s far greater from league 2 to the Championship.

That injury record and lack of game time, similar to Gayle, fills me with fear over what we might be getting. Our injury record is poor with fully fit players, let alone crocks. What a desperate mess we are in.

Ambidextrous? Nice!
Works hard on weaknesses. Nice!
Hope we can avoid something crazy, like getting hurt putting on his boots...oh ... wait.
Well...Let's just hope he has better luck here! Looks like some schmuck is actually trying to improve this team or something...What the? If it doesn't work out at least they've given it a shot, given the market we have to shop in.

49 games for Barnsley, 65 for Swansea and 48 in 4 years at Fulham and that's it.
He'll be crocked before the end of August.
I think we have to start hiring some players who have better than a 50% chance of making it through the night! :-)
