I thought he had outlasted all these managers and was still going to be here when Neil had gone 🤣

If we've got £2.7m for him that's amazing. Delighted to see the back of him. Always flattered to deceive.

Shame, I liked him. Had hit faults but always gave 100%.
Good luck.

Everyday a school day Indeed He doesn't need a work pernit😁 It is add as they are in the same league If the Belgian Dutch league proposed merger goes ahead just wonder if that might see a change in these procedures

So he’s gone… and with him goes any lingering reason to play three at the back.
Good luck Josh. You’re a terrific wing back and though many gave you grief for lack of defensive traits, I always appreciated your swashbuckling and cavalier style. Hope you tear it up at Swansea mate, their setup will suit you down to the ground.

We definitely needed another centre back as well as full back cover in my opinion. Some of the reports around missed opportunities indicate the management team knew this and have dropped the ball in this area it appears.

Good luck Josh, thanks for your efforts at Stoke. Saw vast improvement from when you first arrived, put many fantastic whipped crosses begging to be put in the net that our so called forwards couldn't capitalise on. He was the only player comfortable with the wing back system. Certainly hope we never see it again now with him gone.

So was Josh the last of the Hughes era players or was Campbell in and around first team back then?

So was Josh the last of the Hughes era players or was Campbell in and around first team back then? Not sure if Campbell was a Hughes player but he’s the last player who played for us in the Prem. Hope Josh does well! Can’t knock his effort for us and he did well to get himself back in the first team after being bombed out by Jones. Think he’ll do well in the right system.

Provided some good moments in a Stoke shirt. All the best.
His cameo away vs Forest last game of the 19-20 season was sublime. And my seat provides an awesome views of Tymon's wing back crosses that various Stoke strikers managed to miss.

Is it true that we chose Josh over Andy Robertson?
(And Wimmer over Maguire?)

Is it true that we chose Josh over Andy Robertson? (And Wimmer over Maguire?) No, I think we tried to sign Robertson but Liverpool came in for him. We ended up with Tymon a bit later.

Same window but later Robertson was supposedly in his car driving to Stoke to sign when his agent called to say Liverpool were in for him Hughes supposedly pushed hard for McGuire but the club thought he was too expensive then spent the same anyway on Wimmer

I think he'll go well for Swansea.
A decent player who never really filled his potential here for whatever reason (not a great peroid for the club with lots of change).
