I don't know what to make of DWP. Is he a legitimate first team squad option next year, or not? After that breakthrough performance at Hull, and the lively display against Fulham it did go very quiet. He's only 20, but you wonder what the next step is for him? A loan? If so, at what level? If it wasn’t for his surname would anyone actually rate him? He just looks incredibly frail to me. He’s too weak to make an impact at championship level.

And the season fizzles out like a damp firecracker!

The thought occurs to me this is our one and only shot and getting in on the current trend of a pitch invasion. If anyone is feeling a little left out! :-) I guess the pitch invasion didn't happen, not from our fans anyway!?

Yep agree. Reminded me of the Sunderland play off game last season, was expecting so much more but just didn't turn up and perform when it mattered. Wolves definitely looked far more up for it than Stoke did this evening & no complaints on the right result on the night being achieved by them although sadly they were rarely threatened & didn't have to move out of 1st gear.. Just wondering if credit should be given to Kevin Russell for getting the U23's to 2x consecutive play offs & allow him to continue in post or whether the fact we've been in the play offs twice with no promotion to show for it means it's time for a change in that department?! There were some very young players in our side, but I was looking for a lot more from Forrester and Wright Phillips in particular. For two players with first team experience they should be head and shoulders above the rest, but they were both disappointing. Sparrow at right back was calamitous at times, their left winger roasted him and both goals came from crosses from that side of the pitch. The only two who looked anything like were Jones and Goodwin. I’ve watched Sparrow 3 times at right back now and I just don’t see it. Now this one is on the manager. He only started playing there since training with the first team and it’s clearly their plan to convert him. He’s gone from looking like a good midfielder to a nervous wreck.

Whoever is responsible needs to move him back then because he sure as shit isn’t a right back. Hot on the heels of his horror debut against Coventry he was bloody awful tonight.

I was willing to be lenient with the Coventry game as it was his debut etc but he’s looked the same in these two play off games. MON clearly thinks it’s a goer. Absolutely nuts.

A definite loan contender so he can start playing competitive football. We'll know if he'll make the grade after that. Right now he's treading water between U23s and the first team. He needs to step up to plate shortly as he'll miss the boat, like a lot of others.

Just got back, disappointing result and at no point did Wolves look stretched or under too much pressure. Never got much quality in the box, some day-dream defending and dodgy passing certainly didn't help. Sadly Wolves repeated their number of chances that they made in the game a few weeks ago and couple found the back of the net. Anyway a good experience for the lads, some who are still pretty young. So we move on, but sadly not up. Wolves, deserved winners, and we'll see how they do in that league, as I get the feeling it's quite a step up.

I had pretty much the exact opposite impression when he first broke through, that for a very small bloke he was noticeably strong and robust. Pretty sure I posted something to that effect in here about him riding challenges and holding his own in tussles with much bigger players.

He will look a lot better with someone bigger laying the ball off in front of him though. He needs to be introduced off the bench more as he is a live wire.

Just seen Kevin Russell's post-match interview and was struck by how much he resembles the late, great Donald Pleasence these days.

An unfortunate result for the lads. Hopefully they'll learn some valuable experience from it.
We go again.

This is a dreadful move to try and get him playing full back/wing back. For one, he's not got the pace for it, but secondly he's got something as a midfielder that is hard to find, he arrives late in the box and scores goals. He's wasted at wing back.
