Wolves the better team Stoke not really troubled the Wolves defence. Playing a bit like the first team.

But over the course of the season, there seems hardly anything between them. Stoke won the home game comfortably and were winning away 2-0 before 2 goals in injury-time. Shame we haven't really turned up in the one that matters

I think we've played too nervously. If we give them a run for 15mins see if we can get it to 1:2 I think we could still get something. They've been very compact, their CB and LB are very tidy, I don't like Simkin coming off his line so predictably there is no need it's an accident waiting to happen.

It's like a mirror image of first team, slow, laboured not dynamic enough. This is why o Neil must go , he's drilling his style into the whole club. Boring, boring, boring.

The lack of intensity from Stoke, for an end of season final is staggering.

Definitely similarities to some of the more predictable, laboured first-team performances.

So O'Neill gets it because he was in Scotland recovering from his hip operation for the semi final. People saying he should be showing more of an interest in the 23s.
Now for the final it's his fault for a poor performance. He is in charge of the team and tactics.
I'm not overly impressed with O'Neill and on balance think he should have gone but that's just nonsense.

It makes sense for the younger teams to set up the same as the first in case they get called up. And yes he should have been at the semi final imo, he was resting up by going out and watching other football matches....

People a few posts back with several 'likes' I didn’t see the O’Neil comment so apologies. I think it’s correct in the sense that he will with the 3 at the back etc. But I think you’re right too. You can’t blame when it goes to shit. I know for a fact that at some point in the recent past (probably before MoN) we purged the academy of wingers. I think it might have been under Hughes when he switched to 3 at the back tbh. So it can happen.
