.... if we win our next five matches, we will have 70 points .... that said, we desperately need the teams above us to drop points too. But all is not lost just yet. We have the players to do the job, and now its up to them to create some sort of history by actually getting Stoke promoted. It would really be a grand fairy tale. ...

I reckon we will miss out by 4/5 points, which is criminal when you look back. Should have made them easily with some consistancy.

There’s about a 0.1% chance we make them.

As things stand now there's a 2 in 2,000 chance of making the playoffs.
Win every remaining game and it's 1 in 10

The fact it’s still mathematically possible makes all of the stupid results / moments throughout this torrid season all the more frustrating!

Make the play offs your having a laugh after that superb win against the Baggies we will probably lose at home to Bristol on Friday. Thats what this team does puts a shift in every now & then to give people false hopes.

It's mathematically possible, but not realistically possible. It relies upon us winning all our remaining game and at least 8 teams above us losing the majority of theirs to remain under 70 points.
Its not going to happen.

If we win all our games, we still won’t make the playoffs. True but if Stoke do win all the remaining matches. It might shut the O'Neil out lobbyists up for a while.

There's no chance we win all of our remaining games. What have you seen this season that suggests we could? Crazy thinking.

No it won't, they'll just say it proves that he's not good enough because the team was obviously good enough and could have won all of their games if MON hadn't messed about with formations and negative team selections. Nothing he does will placate them.

Well if there’s no chance we are shit. Then maybe there’s every chance we won’t be shit. So there’s a chance! Punctuation matters, kids.

I don't know about winning all their games but equally he shouldn't have that bad run explained away as being down to other stuff and then bask in the honeyed glory of winning a few dead rubbers?

It’s so annoying that we’re scraping the barrel and rightfully are where we are, firmly down to poor, poor management.
He’s had his time here and we don’t look any better for it, he’s a mid table manager no more no less and we deserve a lot better.
Pity really as apart from Fulham there’s no stand out team in the division, massive opportunity blown IMO.
