Have you ever enjoyed it and been content with Stoke? Like when we had Bojan / Arni / Shaq / Afellay and were beating MCFC / Arsenal etc? I know Celtic fans who still moaned when they won the league, and United fans in the Ferguson era who found things to moan about. It was baffling to me. As a Stoke fan, I take our highs very high and our lows with some sensible levels of frustration and disappointment. But I never get angry or exasperated (Nathan Jones pushed me on that) because we’re Stoke and we are not ever going to find perfection. And I’m cool with that. I love being a Stoke fan. Really enjoy Afellay being used in such arguments. He was shite. Is that all you got from that post?

Relegation is more of a possibility if he stays. you should be ashamed of that remark for two reasons: 1. It is wrong. 2. You don't even have the courage of your convictions and say that MON will get us relegated. But instead you weasel your way out with "More of a possibility" Be a man and say what you mean instead of constantly making snide criticisms. Do you honestly think that he has lost the dressing room? Bonham is not a great keeper but he is improving and today called for balls and came and collected balls very quietly and confidently with no fuss. As far as I can see the vast majority of our fans seem to be reasonably happy with the strides we've made so far. Obviously they would prefer even more progress. I have not seen you mention how much we miss Powell and how much difference he would have made to our results. WHY? I haven’t said he’s lost the dressing room. Indeed I’ve argued for a while that he hasn’t. Why have you made that up? Seriously where has that come from? Bonham has steadily got worse. He was fine today but the two games before he was poor. Because injuries happen and you have to cope with them? MON has given up twice now injuries have hit. It’s been pretty pathetic.

To be honest, when I look back at those days, ‘annoyed’ isn’t an emotion I feel. It’s fine for fans to want better, but there should also be a level of acceptance. Do you think Vale fans are ever livid they’re not in the champions league? You gotta enjoy the good days more mate. It should be. We wasted a fantastic opportunity to be better. You’ve gone extreme there and it bears no relation to what we were discussing. We were genuinely 2/3 transfers from being a top 8 side in the PL. Q: when you think back to when Stoke had Bojan, Arnautovic and Shaqiri and were beating top 6 sides by outplaying them, how do you feel? Bayernoatcake: annoyed. Cheer up mate, life is short. Enjoy the good things and don’t be too annoyed about when we were brilliant.

Agendas….it’s a shit notion not based in any fact. Why do people use it as an argument? My only agenda is to watch a team that will get promoted. I couldn’t care if MoN is dignified, he’s a terrible football manager who is harming this football club. Not on purpose and he’s trying not to but he is. Supporting that isn’t wanting your club to do well. Have you ever enjoyed it and been content with Stoke? Like when we had Bojan / Arni / Shaq / Afellay and were beating MCFC / Arsenal etc? When we win, it's a super high and when we lose, careful damage control. I sometimes wonder what it must be like to be a ManU, Chelsea or ManC fan. Take the FA Cup final for instance. For us it was a fantastic high just being there. A little frustrating we didn't make more of a fight of it, but for ManC fans it must have been more a feeling of relief they weren't beaten rather than ecstasy at winning the cup. Wouldn't trade being a Stoke fan for anything!

Bayern,
Have you read a book I recommended ‘ The Year we nearly won the League.’ I bet you were in your element there moaning the fact we just missed out.

John Swift is currently the highest goal scoring midfielder in the league with 11 goals in 38 games.
Baker is currently on 8 goals in 16 games.
And to think we all thought he was coming here to sit in front of the back four.

I love Baker, been a brilliant signing. What a hit on him as well. Reminds me of former Peru midfielder Hector Chumpitaz. Am sure we all agree on that

Living in the South all my life, it was wonderful in the ealry 1970’s always being able to hold my head high as Stoke had just rolled over another of the big teams.
The same when we had Arnie, N’Zonzi, Bojan, etc and we were turning off the big boys. Absolutely loved every moment of it.
Every win is a high and just disappointment when we lose. I know that the team is trying and support away from home is important!

Classy player just too many injuries, but without the injuries we wouldn't have got him How anyone can describe him as shite is bizarre

He did but so what? It’s a crap argument given everything else and his overall pretty poor transfer record. So slaughter him for for the poor signings but ignore potentially the best signing since Fuller. Come on now, I know bayern bashing seems to be an oatcake past time but lets not be stupid eh

The more I see Lewis Baker perform for us the more I cannot understand how bigger clubs, with their superior scouting systems, have missed him. The bloke has been a revelation. Honestly think that we will do well to hold onto him pre season.

He did sign him and yes I know he signed Surridge as well He was signed under his management but in these modern times did he pick him as a target ?

I mean Christ doing it this way could mean no manager in the last 10 years or more should have any credit for a signing. He will have picked him at some point like he will do every signing we make whilst he is manager (bar players for the 23s and below).

Honestly think that we will do well to hold onto him pre season. I doubt big clubs did miss him as most big clubs will know every player at every other big club and every talented youngster at any club, +if they had wanted him anytime over most of the last 5 years I'm sure Chelsea would have wanted £10m-£15m just like they would and more for Loftus-Cheek or Gallagher, we dropped lucky and picked him up cheaply hopefully without a sell on clause too.

They’ll have at least 20% won’t they? Which is fine tbh. Still a good deal.

I think Mark Hughes tried but with our best player (Arnautovic) leaving and risky, ambitious signings (Imbula, Jese, Choupo-Moting, Zouma and Berahino) failing we went down not up. The club can't be blamed for not trying. Which clubs outside the top 6 have made it into the top eight for any length of time? Leicester. Possibly West Ham who have the huge advantage over Stoke being based in London and a financial advantage now of their cheap rental of the massive Olympic stadium which they have not paid a penny into yet can accommodate 70,000 fans at inflated prices. As far as I'm concerned those top nine places are about as high as Stoke will get while football is dominated by and governed by the big six.

Agreed we tried with the Imbula transfer but it was the wrong player. And we put all of our eggs in that one basket which was stupid.
