What this game will highlight is how both teams defences aren't all that. Its just that for most of the season they don't get tested. When they do it highlights their weaknesses. Most are good going forward but found wanting when asked to defend. Rubbish, they’re the two best defences in the country

All it shows is just how bloody good their front threes are.

Trent and Robertson are great going forward but always vulnerable when tested. This game is proving it.

Again it's happened. Comedy defending nowadays on modern football.
This game is just proving even the best teams just don't have good old fashioned proper defenders who know how to defend.
They probably spend all week training on bombing forward, which is fine for most of the season, they can get away from it.

Rubbish, they’re the two best defences in the country Matip is one of the most underrated players in the world imo. Free transfer from Schalke. Find Klopp insufferable but his recruitment has been very good. Not sure if he gets much a say but his track record at Liverpool and Dortmund suggests he must have some sort of input. I know Michael Edwards is highly rated, mind.

Klopp will just want to get his team in without any further damage. I suspect Thiago may go off for Keita at half time

Which is making for a cracking game.

Yes both teams have excellent forward lines, but top defences in the past defend a lot better than this, especially Liverpool Every time someone goes forward you're thinking goal. It's mad!

Brilliant half of football, two fantastic teams at the top of their game. Liverpool will come back but Man City have the ability to just turn it on. Love it

Phil Foden standing out.
Worry with him on the national stage is that everyone else simply isn't on his wavelength. Him and Sterling have to start imo.

Foden, Sterling and Grealish playing behind Kane is about a good a forward combination as there is currently in world football. He just need to sort out the six behind them and we have a great chance to make that final step and win something.

The defending is absolutely bloody awful Not sure whether sky have told all pundits and commentators to not mention it, but they just say its nervous defending! Imagine man utd defending like these and Keane being there. Its a great game because of it, but pundits, call it how it is. Both teams cut open every attack
