Bruno Fernandes????? Flat track bully, never performs in the big games.
Scholes started as a centre forward then moved back over his career. He's just an exceptional footballer so I'd have in the list.

This 'number ten' 'number eight' etc stuff only ever creates confusion as it means different things to different generations and cultures.
If they said 'attacking midfield playmaker' then everybody would know what they meant.
I always thought Bergkamp was more of a second striker.

He really wasn’t. Diego Maradona is your typical no 10. Sheringham was a second striker, and a fairly cerebral one. No different to Bojan. If you're setting up as a 442 he's called a second striker, if you're setting up 4231 he gets called a no.10 Can't work out if you're taking the piss or not.

He is in that he wore the number 10 shirt. Other than that he isn’t because, you know, that’s not what the role is. Most teams played with 2 up top back then with one slightly deeper than the other. If Teddy played now in a 4231 he'd be the no.10 behind the main striker. He was your typical no.10 Look at the pundits’ lists. Joe Cole, Scholes, Fernandes, Juan Mata… Do you think they’re talking about second strikers or attacking midfield playmakers? Teddy Sheringham was not the same type of player as Diego Maradona ffs

Fuller’s another one that - despite very much being “City’s number ten” - was nothing like a #10 positionally tbh
