moore makes no sense , he doesn't like being turned or having the ball played in behind him
any defender prefers the game played in front of him but he copes less well with this than h-bellis or ben wilmott
i dont know why he is here
arguably jag's but is getting less mobile with time , but he is much better player than moore and we dont need two of him

If three or more defenders are injured or showing poor form, and we have nothing to lose and little to gain, we might just play Forrester in central defence.
He made his debut last season vs...Bournemouth and scored the winning goal, also was motm. We know MON believes in historical significances, so why not Will's? He hasn't played in the first team since that matchwinning performance, but he's back from his loan, and if he's fit, play him!

If, as most of those around the club must surely accept, we are now playing out the season with a view to the next, then surely it makes sense to play options like Will, to see how they might fit in to our plans going forward. Similarly with guys like Porter and Trezgel. Take a look at them now, if an opportunity occurs, and play them in competitive but otherwise meaningless mid table fixtures.

This game has been constantly in my thoughts since the Luton debacle, and I've reluctantly come to the conclusion that I'll accept a 3 nil victory in this game.

Yeah it was a very strange effort for such an experienced player and former captain too. He's been through some nasty business at Reading. One day captain, next day dropped, not to play again for weeks/months. I don't know the exact facts, as I've zero interest in Reading. But whatever happened must have left him with low confidence, not to mention lack of match practice. Then he makes his debut at Stoke and is promptly dropped again. Not a good situation for Moore. No upgrade on Baath imo. Hope we don’t sign him, maybe not had many games but looks slow to me. We swap average Ince for average Moore, no surprise = average player no better than central defenders we already have. We needed a right back. We have 2, but play a centre half there🤔

Nasty business of his own making. Despite being captain, one of the best wages at the club and eighteen months left on his contract didn't he tell Reading he had no desire to play for them past January and would be looking for another club in the transfer window? Reading did exactly what I would want Stoke to do in that situation. It's probably for the best you never became a football manager.

Bursik was one of the few to emerge from the Luton fiasco with any credit.

Joe Allen there. Gave the ball away, fouled Cantwell, then carried on and fouled Smith on the edge of the box.
