There’s plenty that could and should be done, with a bit of planning and forethought and acceptance that some fans will not be happy.
First they need to decide where they want the hardcore fans who want to sing to be. Back of the boothen or the south stand next to the away fans. That area then needs to be converted to rail seating asap to be ready for when it inevitably becomes the norm.
If they decide on the boothen that will rub some up the wrong way who’ve sat at the back for years but the fact is a lot of those people are just well….a bit on the old side to be sat at the back of the home end. In an old terraced stadium the cohort of people at the back there would have turned around twice over.
That lack of ability for people who want to sing to get together in an agreed location has resulted in a fragmented atmosphere at best even when there is something on the pitch to get behind. Made worse since the corner was filled and a lot of the more vocal element decided to move there.
For me, The club should state they want the middle three blocks, back 10/15 rows to be for fans who want to create an atmosphere and market them as such, offering fans currently sat there the same price to move to the paddock or main stand lower for their current price for a number of years.
Or even go down the road of rail seating the south stand and switch ends if that ends up being a more practical option.

These are the sort of ideas the fans forum should be putting to the club. It won't change the football currently on offer, but will the atmosphere.
