First ever match thread here in all my years of blessing you with sharp my wit and intelligence
So what do we think?
Will mad Nath finally extinguish any lingering hopes of a play off spot or will this be the catalyst to a huge winning run that sees us bang in form at just the right time.
I also learnt this morning that another bloody storm was due!
UTMP - I’m going for a high scoring 3-2 win with a brace for Phil and Jean

Fully expect Nick Powell to come back in and stick it to Nathan. However, they're a tough proposition and will play for their mad manager.

I've been thinking deeply about this since Saturday night, and have quickly come to the conclusion that I will accept a win in this game.

Can’t see anything but a draw. They’d be happy with that. They’ll sit back and wait for us to make our inevitable mistakes.

I have a feeling of doom over this game mad Nath is due a win over us. I have a picture in my mind of Jones running towards the south stand chest thumping in front of 200 Luton fans. I really hope that i am wrong & we send him packing with a thrashing.

Our home form is pretty dire and let’s be honest we are bang average to watch at home. I wouldn’t bet against any team to beat us away, we’re that different. O’Neill treading on even thinner ice!!! SCFC 1 MAD NATH 2

We’ll win this at a canter and Powelly will teabag Nath in the centre cirtle at full time to the bumper 22,000 crowd singing “he’s gagging on balls, he’s gagging on baaallllsss, Nathan Jones, he’s gagging on balls”

In all seriousness I like Wilmot and do hope he’s ok. But he should never play right back for us ever again.

A must MUST win game against Nathan the son of David, what could possibly go wrong.
Pray 🙏 Nathan doing his King Kong impersonation and stoke out of the play off picture, on the same day? Surely not 😁

Another bout of disappointment to come Just think though Joe, if we do lose, we’ll only have to win 10 of our last 14 to make the playoffs. It’ll still be on! That run of consecutive wins we need is coming, I can just feel it…

Oh the infamy! The wailing and gnashing of teeth! For the love of God please let me us not lose. I couldn't bear to see the chest beating and badge kissing 🤬

We’ve still got posters saying we’re going to go on an amazing unbeaten run. Every time we drop points it’s “yeah, we only need to win 12 of the next 18”… then it’s 12 of the next 17, then 16, and so on…

How many have we actually won so far?

Ta! Some turnaround needed Indeed. We’ve got to turn a 38% win rate into about 60%.

I mean in the literal sense, it is possible until the maths says otherwise, and there are examples of teams going on barnstorming runs and sneaking in. But in reality, everything is pointing to us missing out.

I mean in the literal sense, it is possible until the maths says otherwise, and there are examples of teams going on barnstorming runs and sneaking in. But in reality, everything is pointing to us missing out. Everything does point to not being able to sustain a run but there is something back of my mind saying 'if' this & 'if' that then we might sneak in. If we can stay in touch some of them above will have a wobble as we get to the business end and we have to capitalise with a very strong finish
