I can't see beyond Ireland or France this year, their game should be a belter.
England need to be- and play- better than last year or Eddie will be under pressure a year away from the World Cup.
Not confident against the Scots today at all.

If the Scots can string wins together they might stand a chance.
France's to lose if they don't blow up in a match they should win, 3 home games too I think.
Best team sporting event of the year. I've little interest in football anymore and lose most of my interest in stoke when the 6 nations starts.

I think France will win it this year with Ireland second, mainly due to France being at home against Ireland. As usual it depends on which France turns up as they can be so temperamental and undisciplined.
As for England, we need a big improvement from last year, but I can't really see us beating Scotland today. Then we've got Italy away, Wales home, Ireland home, and France away. I can only see 3rd at best tbh, and Wales could possibly turn us over as well. Eddie certainly needs to start with a good result today or at worst not get thrashed.

You've got to think the French will want to put a marker down ahead of their home World Cup next year by winning the Six Nations this year or next so a strong performance should be expected. I think England are more like France at the moment in terms of you don't know if they'll be good or awful. I was going to say great or awful, but they've actually been pretty pedestrian for some time now. Let's hope we see some better performances this season. With Farrell out for the whole 6 Nations it might be a chance for the much lauded Marcus Smith to shine. Lots of pressure on a still quite raw young man.

Think 17/2 on bet365 is generous. England under the radar and Scotland confident scares the shit out of me to be honest. Think France will France it and ultimately decider will be England v Ireland

We’re playing ok just lacking that bit of stardust that Scotland had for their try.

We’re playing ok just lacking that bit of stardust that Scotland had for their try. We seem to say the same thing every year with England, don't we, a constant lack of attacking flair. By contrast, Scotland had one break, one try. Perhaps the second half will be better.

I think that we seem a bit flat - not too bad overall but no real spark or flair.

Think Scotland have been pretty fortunate through this game, but England really should be able to make more of all the ball and territory they had.
Good game but England pretty average overall. Pretty damning when your best chance of points is to hope for a scrum penalty. Soon as that ball came out, that was it.

Spawny as fuck then.
One bit of ill discipline cost England a pretty straightforward win.

Can't see Scotland doing the grand slam or even winning it on that performance.was impressed with England just needed better discipline and a bit more flare and they would have one that easily

England are in transition and with key players out injured - they were very unlucky to lose that , the ref had three clear chances to give them a penalty at the end and bottled it.

Ill disapline England are going nowhere until they stop giving stupid penalties away. Jones is a busted flush, rugby's Mourinho. He can't survive another 4th or 5th placed finish surely? The discipline and penalty count has been an issue since the 2019 final.

He very much was allowed to catch it. The danger in doing so was that the Scottish attackers would then have robbed the ball from him because he was isolated and they score a try. Or he could've caught it, held onto it and conceded a penalty which would've been a 'guaranteed' three points if kicked at goal, or possibly a try or nothing if kicked for a line-out. Holding onto the ball would've been a yellow card. All of those outcomes rely on play carrying on and Scotland managing to score the points. Instead, he chose to deliberately bat the ball out, penalty try, automatic seven points and a yellow card. Brainless!

He looked at though he could have caught it and then kicked it out (well to me anyway!)!!!
