Thought it was Harleys? Just had an extension done at the front. Thought Harleys was on Trinity Street. Mind you I haven’t been for years, day or night. Definitely remember French Horn being called Metro Bar in the 2000’s though🤔 Definitely a cafe now, I only ever have breakfast in a cafe, theirs isn't bad, good range of rock memorabilia about the place.

I used to work in Lamb St in Hanley in the 80's, before Huntbach's was demolished. After work, whilst waiting for a Bus to the Station, I used to go to a pub in Fountain Square, probably actually called the Fountain. Lovely little place. And of course really convenient to the town centre. just above Picadilly.
There and the Roman Scandel.

They had one either side of the bridge didn't they and bring your own beer. There was a terraced pub down the side of the one on the right hand side coming from Stoke. You could get a beer and they'd come and fetch you when they had a free table. Can't remember it's name now. The Norfolk? Spent many an afternoon in the Norfolk when I should have been at college on day release. Kept failing me bloody exams !!

The Red House was Heathcote Rd chap, next one on the line was The John Marston on Longton Hall Rd. Heathcote St yes! You had The Sal, and correct me if Im wrong 2 pubs called The Vine (Top & Bottom) Top Vine is the one I think had the Offy. A New Years Eve pub crawl around there one year after we had been to charity shops for our evening gear springs to mind! Those Sandford Hill mob had a lot to answer for! the red House was on longton hall road.not on heathcote street.only pub on heathcote street is the old sal.think were getting our wires cross.john Marston was the former Stoke south labour club Pub at the bottom of Heathcote Street was the Travellers Rest. Before the Old Sal was built Notorious for lock ins most nights of the week. Was kept by an Irish guy who would keep serving as long as you kept drinking
