Apologies I thought you were the cook on here, must be mixing you up with someone else A keen cook maybe, THE cook, nah! Although when I was a youngster I worked in the kitchen of the secret garden restaurant at Alton Towers. Did a weeks training, to last 3 hours before throwing a bowl of sauce at the wall and rage quitting. I had no money at all so had to walk all the way home to Longton. Great days😉

One of my identical twin grandsons works at The Tawny as a young chef learning the trade. When I go down his mum's house he sometimes makes me scrambled eggs on toast. I never knew they could be so scrumptious. This fine dining is a whole different world to an old stokie like me, who loves his beans on toast and bacon and chayze oatcakes. OS.

My friend's daughter works there. I thought it was just a wedding venue, I drive past it around once a month on the way to Consall Country Park, a hidden gem. Twin boys eh? I praise the Lord that we had a daughter included in the package, two like him and it really would have been Cheddleton

Never had a bad experience there. the lad usually grumbles at any length of time in the car to get to a restaurant but never the Lazy Trout

The quarter at potbank on spode is very good for Mexican food. I went for breakfast with the gang last week, everyone should try it, lovely place, nice set up. Not sure about the Mexican menu though in the evenings, I thought the Quarter at Hanley was ok evening wise but again much better for breakfast but not quite as good as North.

Been thinking I ought to try the quarter potbank at Spode. Do they have parking, or park elsewhere and walk?
