Couldn’t get down the road at Meir KA today. Fans flocking Hanley only managed to win 1-0 too. Which again seems like a bit of a surprise. Over 300 in attendance so Stone should of got a few quid. Decent away win for hanley

I've no interest in Hanley Town and all the new followers. I was just saying there 10 points clear. Agree it was a slender win though.

Stoke do the QR thing as well mate. I'm a season ticket holder and travel to 80% of away games. Getting tickets is a pain in the arse. My Son was a season ticket holder for 14 years before he went to Uni. As far as Stoke are concerned, he doesn't exist. I have to go to the ticket Office, stand in a queue and then explain to someone through bullet proof glass before I can get him a ticket with me and his brother at away games. It's a nonsense. I've bought loads of tickets for home and away and never seen a QR code I'm similar and add into the mix I'm also an exile as I live near to Burnley. Not set foot outside the ticket office for about 5 years and getting tickets when I need them, be it for my eldest or my mum, has never been easier. QR code or printed ticket option been seen 3 times this season. Away tickets are easy as pie if not a little infuriating with admin cost and postage charge.

1,100 at kidsgrove Athletic today Fantastic crowd That really is. I’ve been there when there has been less than 100 2-3 seasons back their average gate was something like 120. Even taking Leek supporters into account that is massive. Leek generally get about 400 on a good day!

I remember watching Newcastle vs leek in an fa cup preliminary match at lyme Valley years ago, and the leek fans all looked the same. Ginger hair and beards, all looked like hagar the horrible. All odious as well, giving it the big un.

Must be a modern thing this dislike of the lads from Leek. I was driving a JCB back in the early 60's on a job in Leek and most of the lads on the site were Leek Stokies. Mad as hatters they were, but great lads.
OS.

Like I said I'm a Kidsgrove lad and go to the athletic at every chance I get, I thought the city of Liverpool were out there but Leek were right up there with the worst.

I went to Macc today with my Son's. Really easy to buy tickets online - £10 for an adult - where you are sent a QR code to either print off or show to the turnstile operator on your phone. Stoke take note. Numerous beers on tap around the ground and no problem drinking on the terraces. The new stand, with the bar almost the full length of the pitch, was very good. Savage on the pitch at the end loving every minute. Good luck to them, I'll certainly keep an eye on their fixtures and results. Take note on something they already do?

Who are UTD? If it’s Manchester United you mean aren’t those fans in the wrong stadium? Yes Manchester United fans..with no home game over the festive period I assume most will want a football fix. Macclesfield I imagine will have a large Manchester United fan base None of those pricks live in Manchester anyway.

Newcastle Town can barely get 100 fans despite this recent non league crowd boom. Castle has loads going for it for a Saturday afternoon at the match, so I’m a bit mystified why this should be so.

Location location. They have never had good crowds. Its too close to Stokes ground and the main population of Newcastle is in the north of the town.

It’s got Clayton, Trent Vale and the Newcastle town ward area sat on top of it, so plenty of scope for supporters to drop by. I always get the impression that Newcastle’s focus is running its myriad of teams, coaching schemes etc over getting punters through the gate. They’re at a decent level of non league but get gates of 75-150 if they’re not playing Kidsgrove or Leek. In saying that, they’re a club like Bradford Park Avenue who’s potential is checked by the stadium they play in, so maybe they’re happy that way.

At one stage they were obssesed with getting up the leagues, and spent alot of money, but never really moved up barring maybe one league

A colleague of mine's husband is a bit non-league football fan and semi ground hopper but mainly follows Leek. Their game was cancelled this weekend and wanted to stay to local and could have gone to Castle but she said he didn't because he didn't like the ground. So that might not help either? You are far away from the pitch.
