Went in Delilah bar before, got wear a mask to get in..then take it off as soon as you walk in🤦🏻‍♂️I mean seriously what’s the point Exactly, the “rules” are a joke. No ones listening and no one can police it. Because no one in the real world cares.

Personally think its pretty selfish not wearing a mask as its says fuck you to anyone else but its absolutely true Pfizer our massively profiteering which will cost us all in long run. And you can be sure there are many wealthy people who will gain from it.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone supporting mandatory mask wearing or mandatory vaccines is a fascist - it's as simple as that. It's racist, discriminatory, authoritarian, unjustified (based on evidence), divisive, and frankly, disgusting on just about every level. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I don’t think it’s people being selfish, more a case of people can see how utterly ridiculous the rules are and thinking “fuck it” Even now I’m still not sure what the rules are, no clarity from the top and a population that’s got zero trust in the government..

Actually Boris did re vaccination last week… While he was having cheese at maskless party I bet. He's just like every other leader in the world passing mask mandates to their people while ignoring their own edicts. Rules for thee, not for me. It's like living in the 1700's again. Yet, weirdly, you have people literally begging for more regulations and endless laws and edicts. Madness.

Had a beer at ht so wearing a mask is ridiculous.. these half arsed rules won’t be followed, god knows how it’ll work with vaccine passports

As for mask wearing, I’ll just repeat what I’ve said several times in certain situations it’s no hardship whatsoever…..

Almost Eichmann-esque.

As for mask wearing, I’ll just repeat what I’ve said several times in certain situations it’s no hardship whatsoever….. That's because most oatcake posters, like the general public, are not fascist and believe in freedom of choice. The (government instructed) GMB poll the other day that showed 89% of voters didn't want vaccine passports (poll deleted by GMB shortly after) highlights this. It's just a tragedy that the Conservative Party and Labour Party seem to think such fascist, oppressive measures are ethically sound. Re mask wearing, we've done it to death and I know you personally don't support mandatory masks (many do), I just have to point out the great many (like my mother who is hard of hearing) who do find it incredibly distressful - ranging from rape victims, victims of war crimes, children in education, those suffering from mental health to name a few. I will never wear a mask again and I should have that right. In the same way you should have your right to cover your face, should you wish.

My mask came in handy this afternoon, put it over my eyes and had a little snooze during that bore fest.

I’m struggling to find anyone on here that supports mandatory vaccines, I personally don’t know anyone who does either. As for mask wearing, I’ll just repeat what I’ve said several times in certain situations it’s no hardship whatsoever….. I think it's important to be clear just what is meant by a mandate. This pandemic has caused me to really rethink some things ethically and while I don't agree with government mandates where people would be forcibly injected with the vaccine, I do very much support the right of private businesses to require vaccines and/masks for either their employees or their customers. Likewise, I think government agencies should be able to have similar requirements for their employees and, within certain parameters, people using the services of those agencies. (For example, a motor vehicles office having certain hours during the day when a mask is required.) Here in the states, we have subscribed to an incredibly stupid health care system where most people get insurance coverage through their employers. Given the size of the bills some folks are racking up by spending 4-6 weeks in the ICU and in some cases on a ventilator or ECMO, I think it's fair for employers to work with the carriers who provide insurance to their employees to implement a charge or surcharge to anyone unvaccinated by choice to cover the increased costs being imposed on the employers. I also think hospitals should be at liberty to turn out the willingly unvaccinated if they have no means of payment or are crowding out critical care for those who have received the shot. Finally, I think employers should be permitted to cancel any life insurance policies that were initially offered as a fringe benefit for any reason including vaccination status. Twelve months ago I probably would have endorsed a full mandate (perhaps just short of forcible injections) where basically every aspect of public life was tied to the receipt of a vaccine. But it's clear that enforcement would have been impossible and frankly it does strain my sensibilities about govrenment's role in things. I've seen comparison between mandates and, for instance, blackouts during the World War 2. It's an interesting analogy, but in the end they aren't the same. And really, I believe in the right of people to die at any time they want and by whatever means they want. I've held this belief long before COVID and thus I had to reconcile that with the fact that even if a person infects a few people because they didn't get the jab it is still their right to die or risk dying by having COVID destroy their lungs. And i'm not saying that the unvaccinated are all going to die, just that they have, thus far, been at an elevated risk of serious illness or death relative to those of us who have been vaccinated. Finally, I think there's a good chance that Omicron represents SARS-CoV-2's transition from pandemic to endemic and if so, the worst of this should be behind us soon and we won't have to worry so much about all this.
