No blame or moan to the club, they are between a rock and a hard place on this
Be interesting to see how its 'policed' though
I went to Manc on the train yesterday where it was probs a 60/40 split of masks / non, conductor never said a word to anyone

Only in the indoor areas, such as the concourse when queuing for food and drink or nipping the loo. It might stop people loitering about and blocking these areas. Gouranga.

Note that it's only in the concourses, not in the stands, so it's not exactly a hardship.
It's also likely to be freezing again tomorrow, so it might actually be a handy thing to have in the stands.

Another excuse for the”I’m not doing anything I’m told to brigade” who usually spend every week on the matchday thread🙄in other words the majority don’t go anyway

Good luck to the staff policing that, feel sorry for them. Remember if you get asked not to be aggressive towards them as they are only doing what they have been told. Can’t see 20,000 people remembering to bring a mask mind.

Imagine the same will apply tomorrow re the stewards. I mean, they can’t even make people sit down so they sure as shit won’t be telling anybody without a mask to put one on.

Surely they will, more of an issue is when people simply remove them once inside which was the case at the U23 semi-final last season.

If you were a minimum wage steward would you risk a load of hassle by attempting to deny entry to someone not wearing a mask? There's your answer then.

Maybe I should have phrased the question differently ... I wonder if they will be *instructed* to deny entry at the turnstile if people are not wearing a mask? Similarly, I think it's highly likely that the stewards at the busses WILL be instructed to stop people from getting onto the bus if they're not wearing a mask.

Technically face coverings are not needed in places where people are exercising.
And what’s a football stadium if not that.

I would imagine no to the stadium and yes to the bus mate with it being a "condition of carriage". But as usual I could be wrong

It's winter. Wear a scarf and just pull it over your face for the five seconds it takes to get into the ground.
You're welcome.

Similarly, I think it's highly likely that the stewards at the busses WILL be instructed to stop people from getting onto the bus if they're not wearing a mask. Face mask ‘had’ to be worn on the official coaches going QPR .. from the coach I was on , couriers given the task to ask .. majority of people didn’t kick up a fuss ..especially as the change came with only short notice ..there was a small supply for those that didn’t have one ..personally I was surprised by how many people when asked could actually produce a mask ,was adhered to mostly getting on and off .. and moving around though many did actually wear throughout on ours ..as always a modicum of sense was needed and applied , ie once seated and therefore the majority in their ‘bubble’ circle of friends reduced adherence .. believe stewards were given a questionnaire by the club ..as clearly club are aware its a contentious issue for some .. as well as fellow fans , there’s also the driver to respect of course .. majority on ours seemed to accept it’s a difficult situation for all .. and seemed to do what they could to cause as least amount of fuss for all concerned And no I wasn’t on coach 1 😀 .. so was a mixed range of supporters and views

I've seen no more than 10/20 people wearing masks in the concourse so far, good luck with this one.

Recently went to Belgium and watched two matches there. Face masks were compulsory and was enforced by the stewards with little fuss. Had no impact on atmosphere which was excellent (most songs in English which was bizarre) at both games.
Also had young ladies bringing beer to your seat
