Only in the indoor areas, such as the concourse when queuing for food and drink or nipping the loo. It might stop people loitering about and blocking these areas. Gouranga. There are advantages to wearing something over your nose when you go to the bogs, irrespective of covid rules Or for when the phantom guffer trumps in the stand! Reckon we've all been there at some point, sat watching the game from the stands & about twice or three times a half a rancid fart will emit around and try as you might to look around and try to identify the perpetrator you rarely can. There are easily 20 or so suspects and that's if it hasn't drifted far!

I wonder if they will deny you entry at the turnstile/into the concourse if you're not wearing a mask? They're only allowed to ask, they can't deny you entry as you may be exempt and don't need to show proof. Err… You do need to show proof, if you have an exemption form you need to provide it. Get your mask on and stop trying to make excuses!!

Technically face coverings are not needed in places where people are exercising. And what’s a football stadium if not that. And surely the concourse falls under hospitality (at a stretch) which are also exempt?

Recently went to Belgium and watched two matches there. Face masks were compulsory and was enforced by the stewards with little fuss. Had no impact on atmosphere which was excellent (most songs in English which was bizarre) at both games. Also had young ladies bringing beer to your seatWe can but dream

I went to a Manic Street Preachers gig in Llandudno last week. In Wales masks were already mandatory for indoor events.
I was surprised by the level of compliance. I’d say approx a third of the audience went along with it which was more than I expected.
There was absolutely no attempt to enforce it.

It's winter. Wear a scarf and just pull it over your face for the five seconds it takes to get into the ground. You're welcome.

There is no reason to be exempt as wearing mask does not affect any breathing condition but may help protect you if you do have one. All these people wanting to be special is just bollox

And surely the concourse falls under hospitality (at a stretch) which are also exempt? As far as I understand you don't need a mask if you are eating or drinking which is mostly what happens in the concourse. If you're out the back door of the Boothen having a fag you're not in the concourse that only leaves the bogs and walking from turnstiles to seats. Or folk chatting. It's impossible.

(Don't worry I'll have a test like every game I go to, not for myself, because I dont care , but for other older friends around me.)

All these people wanting to be special is just bollox You couldn't be more wrong. No you are wrong mate Asthma is caused by the spasm of the smooth muscles cells in your small airways in your lungs. Asthma can be trigger by allergens, infection, cold air and even exercise. Wearing a mask will protect you against a lot of those and wearing a mask will not trigger them so long as you use a clean mask. Give your head a wobble and wear a mask The mask does not inhibit the flow of oxygen. There were Olympic athletes competing in the Olympics whilst wearing masks. I spent last Christmas day in hospital due to a severe asthma attack. I've not worn a mask since as it affected my breathing. Every case is different.

Good luck to the staff policing that, feel sorry for them. Remember if you get asked not to be aggressive towards them as they are only doing what they have been told. Can’t see 20,000 people remembering to bring a mask mind. I wonder if they will deny you entry at the turnstile/into the concourse if you're not wearing a mask? It is only if you are queuing at kiosks or standing around isn't it? If you are simply walking through to your seat, no requirement necessary?

I can see umpteen games being cancelled over Christmas as more players catch this variant. I fear we are in for a disruptive few months, football wise.
I just hope that the variant doesn’t affect people badly and doesn’t lead to serious illness, hospitalisation and even worse.

The ‘ideal’ would be that it is only as bad as a cold and that it results in natural immunity.

Can we please stick to the topic.
If you'd like to discuss the medical or political aspects of this subject there are a couple of threads on the EE board.
Thank you.

Edit, every case is different.
