RIP gutting news for all concerned, i feel bad for walking past (just so packed with people already) and seeing the the guy on the floor and you guys doing all you could to save the poor chaps life, i get you must feel terrible Albert but you could have done nothing more and his family will be grateful you were there, with the others doing your utmost to save him. you may not feel like it at the moment but you should be proud you tried to do everything you could, not everyone can be saved and it is nothing to do with your efforts Albert and i for one applaud you.

Just had a call from Anthony at Stoke City to give me the sad news.
2 of the other guys that stayed to help were Owen a Brentford supporter and Mick a Stoke supporter. To them - if you read this board - thanks for your efforts and I know you will feel the same as I do at this moment.

Just got home after giving him CPR for 45 minutes, I hope the fellas ok. I stayed with him until the paramedics could defibrillate him and get an adrenaline line in him. I really hope he makes it, the paras took him off on a stretcher. Gouranga. Well done, and thank you for trying. I’ve read the whole post & it doesn’t look like it’s happened the best spot either. Such a sad outcome, but well done you and those who stopped, doing your very best

You were all amazing and you gave the guy a fighting chance. Sadly it wasn't meant to be and it was his time to fly. You should be incredibly proud of what you did even though I'm guessing your emotions are all over the place at the moment. Take care matey.

RIP its always sad doing first aid and the wrong outcome, i have done it twice, once it all went ok, the next the person wasnt so lucky everybody should learn basic first aid and cpr, the st johns ambulance course is great and worth 3 days of your life every three years, most employers will pay for you to take the course too!

I'm sure the other people who stayed to help will feel the same. RIP Please don’t beat yourself up. You did the very best for him and it’s what anyone would have done. When I did my first aid qualification, the emphasis on CPR was to keep going as long as possible until the paramedics get there. You gave him a chance and that’s all that matters. Keep your chin up!

I definitely agree with all this and think it should actually been somewhere in the school curriculum on a yearly basis coz as stories have shown in the past you can be a life saver at any age. Obviously for the quite young they could be taught the basics of 999 calling for emergency help to more advanced skills the older the children get. When they get to their last years or sixth form they could and should be taught CPR. It's a life skill you'll always have and even if only remember bits of it, a bit of first aid is definitely better than none at all. Fair play 👏🏻🤝🏻to all who helped out last night & the ones who had walked past & seen and wanted to do more please don't feel guilty as you've probably done the right thing, seeing that the guy had help already was enough as to many people can most definitely be counter productive (unless a Dr or Nurse of course.) But even then, sometimes despite all the best efforts of trained professionals it's just not meant to be. RIP fellow Stokie.
