Davies - 4 (would’ve been 6 otherwise) Chester - 6 Souttar - 7 Wilmot - 6 Tymon - 7 Allen - 5 (praying he doesn’t get offered a contract) Clucas - 5 Thompson - 6 (missed a sitter otherwise 7) Smith - 6 Powell - 5 Brown - 5
Vrancic - 6 Surridge - 7 Campbell - 6 (but so glad he’s back and showed glimpses of what we’ve been missing)
Not sure if we were just crap or they did a job on us, probably a bit of both.

How he can score Campbell as an 8 amazes me. I am delighted he is back too but I think we need to stay grounded.

Anyone else think wilmot was fucking rubbish? Yes, absolutely. Gave the ball away repeatedly in dangerous areas in the first half. He did improve in the second!

Don't know what game the Sentinel's Pete Smith was watching but obviously a different one to me. Those scores give the impression it was a good performance from our midfield in particular, where in reality two of them, Allen and Clucas were bloody awful (again).

Pete Smith always gives the players an extra point/half a point more than the general consensus. To give Campbell an 8 is silly. I was ecstatic he came on and very happy to see his run off the shoulder for the toe poke. Less happy with the toe poke. 6 for me.

Watch it back… It’s because Clucas was in front of him offering nothing and not linking between Wilmot the Cm and Smith. And Clucas kept playing it back to him in sticky situations whilst also offering nothing in the way of defensive support. The period you mention when Wilmot was better, was when Clucas was shifted over to pretty much the left wing and then went off injured.

Sorry, he gave the ball away about 10 times in the first half, some of the blame for that has to lie with him!! Edit: he was also caught in the right back position a couple of times in the first half with Smith having to cover for him at Centre Back! He was poor in the first half!!

Take note who’s involved in nearly every moment or two before he gives it away… Wilmots been pretty great all season, only 21ys and seems to get it. What have we had at the club involved in a shit midfield for 4 years of tripe… 🤷🏻♂️

Edit: what I will concede is that Bournemouth did identify him as our only out ball from the back and set up to nullify his ability to do that with a decent press!!

Cool, I’m not disagreeing with your number rating of Wilmot, the lower you score him the lower the rating of Clucas. Wilmots rating was as a result of a player ten year his senior that was creating more issues than solutions in front of him.

Clucas is either landing him in trouble or offering nothing. I’m not defending Wilmot, I’m saying is it’s a team game and Clucas is the anti-thesis of ‘team-player’. A more experienced defender may have more quickly adapted at the ineptitude to which was in front of him, there was a point where Wilmot was giving Clucas jip- fair play to a hound 21 hr old, who has more talent in his armpit than Clucas has ever had.
